Hi Guys,
Two people are selling these and I was thinking of buying one but cant decide which one is the better deal. I will be putting a nailbomb in the bridge to start.
Must decide quick b4 they are both gone.
Im told both guitars are good shape
Ibanez below is asking $250. He needs to pay rent...

Charvel Model 6. No photos. He is asking $400. He needs to pay school.
What do you think is the better deal?
thanks

I'm considering one of those Ibanez's though from most accounts they need a bit of a tidy up as the factory setup isn't too good, so possibly factor in the setup cost.
Dunno about that charvel model though
Though I'd say try them both and choose the one you prefer.

Charvel.
-
Charvel was the way I was leaning.
I actually got the guy down to 350 over the phone just now.
I'm gonna check it out tonight. thanks
-
Charvel 8)
-
hey,
he sent me a pic for the charvel
it has a bolt on neck. i thought the model 6 was neck thru
am i wrong
-
CHarvel
if it's a bolt on, it's a model4
-
Yep, Model 4. Model 6 would be neck-thru, and 24 frets (I think).
-
It's a 4, complete with the Jackson FR that everyone seems to hate on the Jackson/Charvel forum. Still, good guitar though.
Here's another model 4, anyone ever heard of a Bare Knuckle Distortion pickup???

Try to play them both, that's the only way you can tell which one's for you.
-
Thanks guys,
Its a model 4 like everyone said. It is bolt on, so it isn't a 6. It still has active electronics, so its a 4. I think the same guitar without actives and dot inlays is a model 3.
Anyway, I was going to play both since they were not that far apart.
I called the Ibanez guy and he sold it on me since he said he needed the money bad.
I called the charvel guy and played it for about a 1/2 hr. I brought a friend who knows how to play really good to test also.
It plays really nice. The frets above the 12th fret have very minimal wear. The ones above the 12th are practically brand new. Guitar felt nice, sounded nice and basically had a mint body.
Since he advertised it as a 6 not knowing and I was able to bitch a little about other stuff that I know a setup will fix, I was able to get it for $275 american.
I think I did good.

it looks like there's a sticker on top of the bareknuckle sticker, probaby from a dealer. he says it's a mule, but that certainly doesn't match up with what that sticker says, more like cold sweat.

That was a pickup that Tim made for me - a copy of a Duncan Distortion made the BKP way. Part of my ongoing George Lynch obsession.

Cant figure out how it ended up in USA though.
I don't remember selling it- unless I sold it to Hellbilly on this forum :?:
Thinking about it - that looks like his old guitar, so it is likely that I put the pickup in there as part of his quest for the perfect tone
I made the label so I could find it amonst all the BKPs that I have here
