Hey guys,
[Ranting]I had planed a frankenstein guitar some weeks ago, (with a silent hill theme, thx to Tim for his patience with my damn corroded nailbomb cover idea) but what I planned didn't turned out as good as I wanted (due to the guitar beign incompatible with standard Fender parts, DAMN YOU SQUIER!!) [/Ranting]
So I'm back to the beginning. I still want some Nailbomb and I still want to play some Killswitch Engage related material. So I was thinking of getting a calibrated set for my Ibanez RG3120 (damn nice guitar, even with the Dimarzios she came stock with (yes it's a she))
Maple Wizard neck, bolt-on, rosewood fingerboard, mahogany body, thin AAA flamed maple top, LO-Pro Edge trem and Grover tuner, MIJ.
Here's a pic :

Wich cover do you think would looks good on her? I was thinking burnt chrome but with no mounting ring I might be stuck with uncovered NBs :?
-
the camo would go pretty well, as they are both sort of greenish. but yes, the burnt chrome would go well with it, because of the blue, and the golden part will make your pickups stand out from the rest... literally! im definitely getting burnt chrome, no questions asked, but i would say camo would go better with your guitar unless you want to stand out :)
-
In fact she's more blue than green IRL. She's getting black strings too (DR) so I'm afraid burnt chrome would look a bit awkward with the all black hardware. I'm heading more and more the Battle worn black direction :?
-
Uncovered black with golden screws like Tim's guitar!!!
-
Nice idea! is there any pics anywhere? gotta check the gallery.
edit : not bad, I'm still thinking of something more unique.
-
I vote uncovered black. It looks a mighty fine guitar already, no need to radically change the appearance.
-
I honestly have no idea, uncovered black is looking good on it already, but it's nice to have a change from that boring/standard type sometimes. I'll have to leave this one up to others.
-
I'm in the same boat, I like the plain black look but something more spicey could be fun :D
-
Burnt Chrome.
Its unique and sticks it to the Gibsons with their 'burnt chrome look' immitation because theirs looks shite
Just my input tho  ,
RorySRV,

Yeaa Brunt chrome is my first choice but I'm not sure. I fear it'll be a bit too much on that nice sleek look :?
-
I vote uncovered black, think looks great the way it is. The only other match I could see would be a black cover.

I love this one, maybe with big black allen bolt or gold screw.

Hmmm, tempting tempting ...
-
May I suggest covered black like the one above but the with satin black finish (rather than the glossy type) would fit in better with your guitars hardware.
And yes burnt chrome may be as cool as flying monkeys they would just stick out like a sore thumb on that guitar.
-
Yeaa they would be out of place. I'm seriously thinking about a satin black set with the BKP logo and black screws.
-
I don't have an idea... maybe aged gold covers, or uncovered black like others said... that guitar's so beautiful... yeah, it's definitely 'she'. 8)

I just noticed a detail that might become a problem : the pickups attach point are triangular instead of square :censored: I had never noticed that before.
I hope BKP could do the same on their pickup, because I don't see myself with a dremel on a 300€ set of BKPs :idiot2:

quite a few people have pups with the triangle bit, just ask when you order :)
