Hi,

I usually use just a cable or sometimes a single pedal on the floor (i.e Barber Tonepress, Danelectro 'Reel Echo' or Little Big Muff)

 - but if I get a chance to gig again I might need this little chap ...

* OFF TOPIC*

By the way Maxingwell, is it you that lives in Rodley, Leeds, west Yorks ?
If so I live just up the hill in Bramley. BKP culture is spreading to the "grim north " eh ?

Cheers !

I used to have stuff in my chain, but i couldn't really be bothered setting them up before each gig, and splashing out on a pedal board seemed a bit ott for my needs (only 2/3 gigs a month)

So atm all i'm using is my Hughes and Kettner Matrix amp with 4 button channel selector. Each channel remembers what delay/reverb you dialed in the last time you used that channel (reverb on the clean, completley dry on crunch and regular channel, reverb and slow delay on the solo channel). If i feel like it i'll add a 2-button footswitch which means you can turn on/off the fx and reverb from afar.

Um....I usually just plug straight into my amp, my fingers are the effects.
Sometimes I use my wah, but that is rarely because it sucks.

I'm getting my new amp soon (Fender Solid State only lasts so long), actually around christmas. I also plan to buy some pedal kits from paia.com so I'll have those.

After christmas my set-up should look like:
Schecter C-1 Blackjack w/ Nailbombs-->Buffer Board(possibly)-->Wah-->Tuner-->Splawn Quickrod

And the effects loop will look like:
Phaser-->Chorus

But it's a work in progress. And I might build an amp to go with my cab, which should arrive before my splawn!

Hails Guys.. i´m yet to Complete my pedalboard too BUT..i´m close to do it i guess.
i think i need an harmonizer, boss guitar equalizer, and some boost pedal(maybe maxom od 808 or ts 808 or one of the TO magic pedal recomendations).
Besides of that,i think i have all pedals i need. i´ll just collect some powerfull distortion pedal, to be used in specialocasioes where i couldn´t  bring my 5150 with me
Q:P

This way I have an input buffer and output buffer... Each distortion sound can be boosted by the BM. And I have a clean boost right at the end for a volume hike.

The big grey box is a CM Plexitone in a slightly different version.
The Marshall fooswitch toggles channels and reverb on the VC15.
The SD1 has been modded by yours truly and it sounds AMAZING. NOTHING like the stock SD1. It has my own set of diodes in it as well as a lot of the signal path caps changed. I use it with some gain right now on both the clean channel and the gain channel of the amp. She sounds gorgeous.
The big muff is just set to destroy.

more like a chain though, its what I used to use live...

DOD Flanger, ISP Decimator, Boss GE-7, MXR Script Phase 90, Bass Synth not used much anymore, used to make us crack up to much... replaced with DD-5 Delay I think and Budda Wah

No piccies but mine goes

for this band (www.myspace.com/burningwarship)

Boss Tuner -> Vox Wah -> HBE Big D (awesome pedal) -> Amp

I use the Big D on setting 3, soft clip with the level and bigger controls maxed (only use the bigger control for those SABBATH stoner moments) with the gain on zilch and the tone halfway.  However, this can sound a litte too messy for our sort of music, and when using my singers Warpig'd Les Paul, I have no use for it at all (aside from one or two songs)

I also have a Boss EQ and Marshall Delay in the loop of my JCM800 - for solo boosts and stuff

Andy!

Post by: bucketshred on October 03, 2007, 03:12:40 PM
I didn't play on them but.... (the singer recorded rhythms and solos as their old guitarist left before recording and I officially joined the day they mixed it and the solos are unoffically mine as I wrote them and the singer copied them)

On the tracks 'Shooting my Love', 'Down Below', 'Built for Speed' and 'Riding on a Shotgun'.  These were produced by Roddy Stone of Viking Skull fame - hence the kick arse tone!

Rhythm 1: Ashdown Fallen Angel 180H, Marshall 1960 Cab, MXR ZW Overdrive, Indie Les Paul w/ Warpigs

Rhythm2: Marshall DSL100, Indie PRS copy, stock

Solos: Ibanez V (the new one) fitted with DiMarzio Deactivator pickups, Snarling Dogs Mold Spore Wah, MXR ZW and the Ashdown.

The older tracks with their old lead player is the same apart from all leads and rhythms by him are a Gibson SG Special -all stock, through the Ashdown.

Anyways, come see us on the 11/10/2007 at Sawyers (Kettering) - I'll be rocking with my Explorer!

Andy!

Well the main reason is that the Morley isn't true bypass (and the Crybaby sucks some tone too), but has some kind of buffer. The sound is slightly different even when it's in the off position, it has a sort of airier sound which is good for volume swells. But by putting it through the loop I can cut it out of the signal when I don't use it. Also, I can mute easily for silent tuning by just leaving the volume pedal down and hit the loop botton.

I am not a fan of pedals and f/x generally but for the covers band I am in I just use a Korg AX1500g connected to a looper so that I can take it out of the chain and use guitar/amp and guitar volume control though I do have a DHA VT1 purist pedal to crank it up a bit for solos. My brother has just picked up a BBE sonic stomp for me in the USA though.
