Hey all
I'm about to purchase a set of Humbuckers but I'm undecided as to which
humbucker I should use in the bridge position.
I play mostly death metal in my band with plenty of mids/low end
(since I can't stand a scooped sound) although I do play plenty of clean
melodies... Heres an example of what I play (well sort of..)
http://www.myspace.com/akerc--ke (check the song "Intractable") gets
heavy around 2:26.
I have two humbuckers in mind... Either the Miracle Man, or Nail Bomb.
Out of those two, which has a beautiful glassy (not harsh) clean tone,
yet can mutate into a face melting harmonically rich monster of distortion?
(close in sound to the link I gave)
Thanks for the help!

To be honest mate, I haven't a clue! I'm sure the metal guys around here (of which there are plenty) will be along shortly to tell you what to buy ;)
Welcome to the madhouse!

Nailbomb!!!
Also you might want to consider a Warpig.

haha yeah thanks :D
EDIT: I was told that the War Pig's had scooped mids?
I have one last question reguarding the covers... I wanted to get a really
aged worn out battle scared Nickel with slight rust patches almost silent hill
style in apearance and an ingraving (custom font) Coloured black or
another colour.
Could this be done? If so where/how do I order these?

I asked Tim for that same silent hill finish some times ago (I'm not alone haha), be prepared for a high price for a custom engraving ( something like 50£) I had planned at the time the engraving of the "Seal of Metatron" from Silent Hill.
Without the custom engaving it was much more reasonnable, 109£ per pickup, certainly less as a set...

I believe it's the miracle man with the scooped mids, nailbomb has plenty of them

Nailbomb, Warpig and Painkiller all have great mids whereas the Miracle Man has a smooth mid response although a great low mid push.
