I just put a RY in my Epi LP Custom, and made some pre/post clips. I will only temporarily host the clip, because my fingers nor my brain were adequately awake when I did the clip.
It's a LPC into a SHO into a Fender Dual Showman Reverb into an Avatar 412. One V30 of that cab was miced with a Sennheiser E606.
First: stock clean, then with Xotic AC Booster, then with MI Audio Crunchbox.
Second: BKP clean, AC, CB
Then, with some cutcopypaste: stock clean, BKP clean, stock AC, BKP AC, stock CB, BKP CB
The amp wasn't nearly cranked, more clips at vasectomy levels later if you like.

The recording seems a little thin for real comparison (on my speakers at least), I'm sure in your room you can really notice a difference but I'd say the RY sounds a tad tighter, brighter and with the crunchbox its definately more punchy! I imagine you're very happy with the new pickups :D

sounds best w/ crucnchbox IMO.

The difference is most apparent with higain, indeed, and it does what I needed : tight lows, great definition and that growl that made me go for the RY's. Just been recording some tunes with it, and, man it is a great pup.
I don't have to do much eq'ing either, I've dialed my amp in with a bandsound in mind, so yes, I've cut plenty of low on it. Because this clip was done at pretty low volume, it does sound thinner, my headphones were shaking on my head when I was doing palmmutes this afternoon with the amp on a more antisocial volume.
