Hi fellas,
Quick q, who's using the Pig-90's and what do they sound like clean? Like a normal p-90? Fat SC? Let me know
Cheers

i've seen no such thing as a pig-90.

Apparently it's a cross between a Warpig and a Sinner, in a distressed regular-size P-90 cover:

I guess it must be hotter than a normal P-90. I think you can also get it humbucker-sized, as a "MQ Pig-90".
I'm pretty sure Phil King has one, not sure who else.

yep, it's basically a sinner single coil in a p90 shell, or a mississippi queen shell, it's not exactly like either of those, but if'n y'all ask tim i'm sure he'll tell ye, ( les o course he says "i ain't makin' non more o' those funny pickups!) he probably will though, he's good like that!
i don't drink by the way (apart from alcohol,...)

The Pig90 I got was a full sized P90 but with a distressed cover and the allen bolt polepieces.
Can't say what it sounded like as it wouldn't fit in my '67 jr (had to return it).

I have a Pig-90 in an LP Junior. It has more bass than a regular P-90 and is not quite as open. It uses the allen bolt polepieces and comes with a distressed cover (though I changed it to a regular nickel one to make it fit better).
It gets a sound like Tony Iommi had for 'Behind the Wall of Sleep', full range but still with single coil clarity.

Sounds good PhillKing, I think I might get one for my next project
Awesome

Hmm, I'm thinking of using one as a neck pickup on a baritone project (with a nailbomb at the bridge). Any thoughts?

How much? i want one for my LPjr now
-
I fancy a baritone now too. I love them, so EVIL!

I was thinking that a neck humbucker might be too loose on a baritone, and thought the extra bite of a P90 might fit the bill. If you look on a lot of signature baritones the "neck" humbucker is more of a middle humbucker, if you see what I mean.
