Hey guys im looking for advice on what pickups to get for my ibanez
its basswood bolt on mahogany neck witha rosewood fingerboard
ive had EMGS in the past in my old guitar and was fairly happy with them but i fancy a change
ive been recommended a bareknuckle nailbomb for the bridge but dont know anything about these pickusp
and also ive been offered the mustaine livewire set again i know nothing about these pickups
would these be suitable? and what other recommendations would you make??
Oh yeah before i forget i play mainly thrash metal metallica megadeth evile and the fobia

Also being dealt with onhttp://www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=78714#78714
I'd say Painkiller set Or Miracle Man set
I think the Nailbomb will be a bit dark and woolly for that - esp for Metallica and Megadeth.
If it's an old 1980s Rocket Roll - the original pickup was a Ibanez V2 which was a bit like a Dimarzio Super Dist - ranked about 16K ohms with a ceramic magnet & to be fair - sounded pretty good in there. I had one the same as well as an Iceman of the same series..

k just looking at the order form its 4 conductor that im wanting isnt it?
sorry for being dumb i just dont know much and do you get the wiring charts etc with the pickups?
-
Get 4 conductor - then you can chose to coiltap or whatever if the modd takes you - or wire up for simple operation
Wiring diags included - although there are plenty of other diagrams on line - we'll all help you find what you need
Welcome to the BKP forum - you'll find that we are usually a lot more responsive than other guitar foums - quick to give advice , suggestions and assistance .
It's a very friendly place to be.

Sims have some great looking stuff on their site, but I haven't used them personally.

I'm sure there are lots of places, but not much seems to come up on web searches if you're looking for something exotic.

Give that old thrash tone a steroid injection and go for a ceramic warpig!
Edit: damn you ordered already!
You work fast man. No mucking about, I like that. Hope youre happy with the MM, its great for thrash.

Right im getting a agile al2500 (les paul copy)

that exact one to be specific for xmas from a friend i have in the states he says the pickups in them as standard are very weak for even classic rock so theyll definitely be no good to me but he says the build quality on the gutiars is on par and above in some cases with epiphones so what pups would you recommend for that guitar?
same sort of music obviously, Will most likely be tuned to D Standard
