Title: For "_tom_" et al - cheap replacement speakers!
Post by: Twinfan on December 04, 2006, 01:05:29 PM
I've been hunting around for a cheap price on four Celestion Vintage 30s for my 1960A Marshall cab.  I remembered when I was a Matamp a while ago that they said they could do a good deal.  I've just rung them and got:

4 x Celestion Vintage 30s + VAT = £164.50!  Bargain!

I'm going over to pick them up, but postage would have been £15.  Cracking deal!

Cheers for letting us know! Although I only really need one speaker at the minute so bulk buying to save wont really benefit me

Still undecided on a speaker, but I think I've narrowed it down to either a V30 or G12H..

Doh - of course!  Not such a good deal for one when the postage is added I guess.  However for anyone local who can pick them up it's cheaper than anywhere else...

cheers for that, twin...

I'm like tom, I only need one (I think I'll go with an eminence private jack, just for a change as I already have a set of celestions), but I appreciate you keeping us in mind!

That does seem like a pretty good price- cheapest I could find was £50 for a vintage 30 at appian- so that'd be £200 (includes shipping, but still a bit more).

:drink:

I just realised.. each time I search ebay for Vintage 30s, theres quite often a set of 2 going for around £90 usually, it always looks like the same picture though so I dont know if its from the same guy all the time or some kinda scam type thing going on :?
