Installed a Holy Diver set into my vintage burst Les Paul on Monday night - they were in my Goldtop but that has Nailbombs now.
Turned out to be a good swap - the vintage burst is my favourite of my three Les Pauls, & with HDs it sounds absolutely huge :) Was noodling around with a slightly menacing calm-before-the-storm kinda clean riff when the Mrs comes up & says "Stop it, you're making the house shake!"
With dropped D tuning it sounds INSANE

Any chance of some recordings of them?

Yeah, some clips would definitely be worth doing - may be able to have a go this weekend...
I used the goldtop to record my first three Holy Diver clips, but it was badly in need of a new nut, refret & full setup (had this slightly dead sound, especially on the 3rd string, even with new strings). Also the 50mm spaced bridge was really too narrow.
The HDs are a much better fit on the VB which seems to have the slots in the bridge saddles cut slightly narrower.

Can there be a better endorsement of a pickup than this? I think not.
