Hey guys, i'm steve!
I was reccommended to use bare knuckle by the other guitarist in my band, who uses a fair few of em!! Anyway, i'm looking to get two of my guitars BKP'd up as soon as possible, forget buying christmas presents :D :D
Anyway, i have a fender "fat splat strat" (H/S/S..yes, green day style!) that has duncans in it right now, and i also have a gibson les paul classic.
I like to play loads of different stuff, everything from extreme metal to stuff that i do in my band such as bon jovi, metallica, ozzy and extreme....
So guys.....choose me some pickups, cheers!

Welcome!
What don't you like about the original pickups? What type of tone (in an EQ sense) are you looking for?
This will help us to help you...

well, as my name gives kinda gives away, i'm a massive fan of zakk wylde, but i'm not sure the miracle man can do the stuff i need.
I would like a pick up that i can just chug away with, but i can also need a neck pick up that cuts through with a nice sweep and clean sound, if you know what i'm saying, i'm looking for alternatives as the duncan JB's i have now, are, well, words cannot describe....... :D
Yeah, so just something in the bridge that i can chug away with and another in the neck i can sweep away on really.........

For your Les Paul: Miracle Man bridge, Cold Sweat neck
For your strat: Holy Diver/Irish Tour HSS set
Why? You can certainly "chug away" on a Miracle Man bridge - in fact you might find yourself doing little else for a while after you get it  It sounds fantastic for high gain palm muted riffing - especially in a mahogany bodied guitar. You also get tons of power & screaming harmonics into the bargain :)
The Cold Sweat is a popular neck pickup to go with Miracle Man or Nailbomb bridge pickups. It has a really nice clean sound but enough power to handle soloing.
If you want something a bit different for your strat, the HD has plenty of power for the high gain moments - masses of low mid "chunk" for meaty riffs & creamy leads. The Irish Tour singles are very versatile, don't get completely overpowered by the high output HD & sound good both clean & dirty.

i can vouch for the miracle man they are amazing (mine arrived today) and trust me its capable of doing zakk type riffing and squeals.
