Here's a couple of guitars i made about 5 years ago for an airbrush artist called Julian Murphy.
One resides in the Museum of Erotica in Paris and Julian has the other.
It presented quite a few challenges and we had to work around a few technical issues that came about from Julian not even being a guitarist - let alone a guitar maker - so stuff like scale length etc had to be rejigged as I wanted the guitar to work properly.

And here is the original artwork

  I can see why that was a challenging project

Wow, very faithful to the original artwork.
I'm impressed!
-
Bet you get a good 'woman' tone from that :D
-
I'd be tweaking the volume and tone knobs for ages, because i know i would just find that hilarious :D
-
Wait, you mean she's got a ....?

The volume and tone controls are wired up so that they work in opposite directions to each other- because thats how guys do it (apparently)
We had to get the tremolo arm specially made - unusual shape!
there isnt actually a tremolo - it's just a strap on trem
And we had a job to make the jack socket work
-
haha, that's great!
-
Guitars give me the horn anyway. That's just filth

+1, it looks almost identical to the artwork.
I dont think I'm gonna be able to afford the deposit for a Feline after xmas now Jonathan :( I'll have to wait till I've got a proper job

No problem - always happy to help.
Want to make the guitars I have at next years LGS a bit more ROCK !!
A few more pointy ones as well as classic shapes
-
any maple fretboard ones?

any maple fretboard ones?
I hadn't thought that far ahead yet.
Some folks do seem to prefer maple fingerboards it seems.
Not sure if they like them on Vs and Explorers though.......
Usually strats and superstrats it would seem (am I wrong here?)

a V would be cool i guess... but yes, they're the norm (for me) on strats/superstrats.
which reminds me.. i need to call you one of these days about a neck. or just wait till i get the body sorted out.

You could do a KK Downing Scalloped Maple Fretboard V + Painkiller pickups   MMmm NICE!

Yeah I tend to only like maple fretboards on superstrats, strats and teles for some reason. It could look good on a V though.

Having hung all my guitars next to each other now, it's even more evident that I don't have a pointy one yet.
That and my lack of a 7-string (and lack of a non-painted guitar) has me lusting after that gorgeous Chuck Shuldiner style guitar on your site:

*drool*
How much would one of those set me back (so I can start saving)? :)
Muttley

Going back to the Gender Guitar, I was wondering what it actually sounded like? And is the "mouth" a Tele pickup?

Our prices start at £1400 and are dependent on specs etc
The one pictured cost about £2000
The neck was a maple and walnut through-neck laminate
Sperzel machines and Tonepros help the tuning
Customer specified EMGs.....

Going back to the Gender Guitar, I was wondering what it actually sounded like? And is the "mouth" a Tele pickup?
The mouth was actually a dummy pickup that I made from black perspex and screws etc
The working pickups were the strat ones mounted on the scratchplate that I made to look like an old fashioned corset.
The sound was like a 30" baritone- we effectively made a Bass VI like the old Fender one. (didnt play Aerosmith's "Back in the Saddle" on it though before handing it over :( )

I was thinking it must be a baritone - and "Back in the Saddle" crossed my mind too!
