Title: MM or NB in a 80's Jackson Soloist?
Post by: Shag101 on December 14, 2006, 10:00:21 PM
Hi All,

I posted in tech, but moved it to here since I now have a pup question.  My friends wife is buying him a bridge pup for his jackson neck-thru.

His listened to clips on here and really likes the NB, but a couple of guys on here including Tim I heard say an MM will be better in a neck-thru jackson soloist.

He likes sabbath, maiden, motorhead and 80's hardcore such as the circle jerks.
What do you think, MM or NB?  thanks!

Neck thru guitars hold a lot of bass energy. I would use something with tighter bass and that's a bit brighter: Miracle Man.

I have a double allen head MM and its great!!! although I am interested in a NB.... the NB will be a more versatile than the MM, which is a bit more modern and progressive sounding.. I would think about an HD or painkiller as well.

I have a MM in my nech thru Chravel 675, which is basically a Japanese soloist and it's the only way to go, the thing takes the roof off.

I have a nailbomb in my neck-thru ESP and it absolutely rocks!
