Hello guys,
well, another one who is just asking fort he right pick ups:
The guitar is a G&L Invader (kind of modern Fat Strat style) with the possibility to add HB at the bridge position, SC in the middle and SC or HB at the neck position.
I use an Epiphone Les Paul and the G&L for all different kind of styles: Hendrix, some Metallica, Pink Floyd, SRV, Gary Moore etc.
So I would like the G&L to become more aggressive than the Epi when it comes to crunch and high gain settings and at the same time I would like to have the opportunity to have a very, very nice clean sound, not especially Strat-style though.
Could you recommend something?
By the way, I heard of bare knuckles pickups from Danny Gill who does very good tutorials at Lick librabry.
Thank you
Mick

My gut feeling on the humbucker is the Crawler, which has heat for the metally stuff, vintage vibe for the classicky stuff, and is voiced to sit well in both Strats and LP-style bodies.
I don't know the single-coils that well, but the Mother's milk is the standard match to a Crawler in HSS sets, so that might work well! Irish Tours might be another plausible option, but ... mmm, yes, perhaps the Mother's Milks are good for the Floydy, Hendrixy ends of the range, while still handling heavier stuff?

Welcome Mick!
Just a quick question to help us zone in on what you are looking for.
What pickups are currently in the Epi Les Paul? If they are stock you might well find more power in the Crawler but if you have others it would help to know the brand and model so that we can advise on a step up in aggression.
You're gonna love BKPs but there are so many greats the devil is in the detail!
(BTW- If you know Danny, tell him his DVDs are bloody brilliant!)
Good luck.

Welcome :D
For a really punchy modern bridge tone the Holydiver is great in S style guitars and for a equally modern single coil tone check out Slow Hand coils for fat cleans.Another option are Trilogy Suite single coils for almost P90esque fatness.
Thanks to Danny for the commendation-he's only just ordered another set of humbuckers so I'm glad to see he's spreading the word 8) !Great player too 8) .

I always forget the HD for some reason. Maybe I haven't heard enough clips -- time to trawl through the Players section again! :)

I think a lot of people make that mistake :)
Maybe I haven't heard enough clips
When I get my music room back (using it for storage while we decorate & build an extension...:() I'll try to record a few more clips...
