Hi, I am another new user. I have 50s strat reissue. I am happy with my Kinman pickups in the neck and middle. But I want to change SD Little 59 in the bridge. I have two questions:
1) Does Bare Knuckle have a singlecoil sized humbucker?
2) Otherwise I'll have to change my pickguard which is no big deal. I want a pickup close to the sound of Little 59 but I need something which has more quality. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks:)

1. Nope.
2. You could just get yourself a really high output singlecoil like a Trilogy (pretty hot) or a Sinnger (insanely hot, more so than a lot of famous humbuckers).

Are humbuckers suitable for strats? Which models do you recommend. I dont need too "HOT" sounds, but I want something close to my Les Paul..

Crawler is what you want

Definately, although as I said before, you will lose "that" Strat like clarity but that's not always a bad thing. Sounds to me like you want the comfort of a Strat but with the power of a humbucker guitar? Would that be right?
If so, probably not a popular answer on a Bare Knuckles board, but I personally would fit a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge - to me, it's the best humbucker in the world without exception.

VHII and a Strat has to be a good combo...

Seymour Duncan JBs are really HOT man:) What I want is a humbucker tone, but I dont want to hear the strings note by note when I play a chord. Little 59 is not bad, but I want something better:)

You wanna watch yourself matey - only just got here, never tried a BKP pickup, and you're saying SDs are the best?????

Probably, or drop any of the "Vintage Hot" type pickups in and prepare to be blown away.

You're right, they seem suitable. Has anyone used Bare Knuckle humbucker with strats?

Have actually, just not the singlecoil ones - I've tried a few of the humbuckers.
Plus cmon, opinions are like poopholes remember? Everybody has one.

The VHII in a strat has plenty of admirers on this board.
The Holy Diver is superb in strats, but perhaps a little hotter than you want.
Or as has already been pointed out, the Crawler was designed to work equally well in strats or LPs & has output somewhere between the above two...

I think one of the main functions of the Crawler is that it helps make a Strat Sound like a LP so that's a plus. But I think a Mule might also be good. Check out Steve's recent Mule clips in the Players room, great stuff!!

Definately go for a VHII I'd say - vintage hotrodded PAF sounds galore. Perfect for beefing up your strat. For lower output go for a mule - which is pretty much BKP's take on the SD '59

Gawd, the Crawler sounds amazing. :D
