More likely to be Andy Sneap's mixing skills.  He's the master at making metal guitars sound awesome in a mix.

I love this song. Though a mate of mine hates it, I've no idea why, it really reminds me of the older Megadeth. But then again he loved The Hives.....

So is there a new album coming out I take it?

I heard some off The System Has Failed and thought they sounded cr@p, but this seems much better.

That demo was actually a mix the Sneapster did as an application for the job of mixing the album.  Apparently Dave Mundaine is so happy with the way things have gone they've ended up tracking another couple of songs they weren't planning on recording.

Just to let you know, its all going great down here in San Diego, recorded 2 new ones today, real classic Megadeth feel to them. Working with these guys has been great so far, coming up with some killer stuff and Dave's on fine form. The material we have down really spans the bands career and there's some shreding solos on here. Glen is amazing to work with. Few more days on vocals, then back to blighty, then possibly back here right after xmas depending what progress we make over the next couple of days. Very close to wrapping this up ready to be mixed at the start on Jan.

I think people will be genuinely surprised by this record once we've done.
Dave's got such a great band round him at the mo, total pros and super nice guys. He's also just stepped up with management and the Labels really behind him also, so things are looking great for 2007. I'll get a proper update in the next few days, I'm too busy on my next mix and panicing trying to learn sabbat solos

Can't wait.  :)
