hello
I've been thinking about my guitar and I started to think about how its wired up and also how it could be improved.
What I wanna know is can a P90(neck) and Mule Humbucker ever be wired so it's a balanced signal? because there is no hum at all with the humbucker on its own, but when the swich is on both P90 + Humbuker or P90 alone, there is a tiny amount of hum. The point is that when the Humbuker is selected is 100% noiseless even at huge volumes. My guitar also has coil tap which may further complicate things.
My thinking is ask tim if he could cutom build me a humbucking P90, in the size of a P90 single p/up slot for the neck position.
What do you advise I do?
I'm not sure that Tim even does a humbucking P90?!

I'm sure Tim has mentioned before that he won't do hum-cancelling single-coil pickups.
Is the hum 'really' that bad? - I never notice it with my Tele except when I stop playing but I can use my noise-gate for that.

The hum isnt even that noticiable and the sound is amazing but its since I got my Vox VR30 amp, which is valve/solidstate that I'm really noticing the P90 hum, yet when the humcker is on, it's silent. Noise gates are something I want to try and avoid as much as possible., as I'm a purist at heart.

I was using the noise gate a lot on my line6 and thought that my sustain was awful, then I turned the gate off and got all my sustain back. I think moderation is the key with using a gate.

Hi, I'm searching a wiring diagram for a P90 stockholm and a humbucker (neck).
