Title: Pickup covers

I got a pair of RYs and I was wondering, if it's is possible to order some covers without the pickups?

'Cause when I ordered the i hadn't seen the "special" ones, battle worn and such.

as far as i know (ive never ordered buckers) they have to waxpot the pickups after the covers are on to prevent microphonic feedback. i think you would have to send the pickups back to have the covers fitted.

Somebody correct me if im wrong here??!

You probably could buy covers on their own, but if you send the pickups back to Bare Knuckle they'll fit covers for free - you only pay for the cost of the covers themselves (and the shipping, I guess).  

And, as Swedey the Cat has pointed out, that way you can get them properly wax potted as well.

But then i wouldn't be able to play for some weeks..  :(

I guess i'll just leave them as they are then..
