Title: Bareknuckle in my PRS
Post by: maliciousteve on December 27, 2006, 05:38:31 PM
I just ordered a Miracle Man for my PRS  :harp:  I've never played a guitar with a Miracle Man before, but from listening to clips on here it seems to be the thing i'm looking for with the tone of my PRS.

The stock pickups are good, but I wanted a fatter sound, more chuggy, sweet lead tone and something that was going to scream with harmonics. Can't wait to be honest. If it doesn't work out having the Miracle Man in my PRS, then I'll try and exchange it for a Painkiller as it's another of my favourites.

In the words of JP.

ooooooh yes! Just got my PRS Standard back from the shop. What a pain in the arse the wiring was! even the guys at machinehead couldn't figure out what the hell had gone on in there. They had a guy come in and tidy up the wiring and fix the problem. It looks a hell of alot neater and I no longer have the problem with pickups having trouble with keeping it's output consistant.

So!

It's a mahogany body and mahogany neck with a brazillian rosewood fretboard. With the Miracle Man now installed it sounds perfect!. The low end is tight, the mids are sweet and the highs are biting. I was looking for a bareknuckle that would have similar characteristics of the PRS HFS pickup but with tighter low end and better articulation. The Miracle Man does it! I no longer need to boost the signal with a tube screamer when using my PRS. I'm happy!
