yep, these kind of "game" shows and Springer style "talk" shows are moron mind control for the masses.  just as intellectual stimulation will improve your mind, so this rubbish will turn you all into vegetables!

watch stargate sg1 instead!!

It is addictive!  I think it would be better if it was a 1 minute programme and the contestant just picked one box that would be the prize!  A little less entertaining but that's basically what they're doing for 45 minutes!

It is so good! I can't believe some of you don't like it. You watch it once and your hooked!

I have never seen it. If you get hooked, I'd better not risk it.

I saw it, wondered why the hell they don't just open all the boxes one after the other with no fannying around and drinking cups of tea and get it over and done with in 5 minutes.
Noel Edmonds was an icon in my youth (Multi-coloured Swap Shop!) but I'm not sure I can ever forgive him for Mr Blobby, and for killing that guy

my parents are hooked on that programme - I've banned them from watching it when they come to my place (and The Weakest Link too)

I HATE it it now.
I was given 5 lessons to do a science case study and I spent all of them playing deal or no deal on the laptops.
Ahhh well.

A perfect description. Noel Edmonds should be put to death!

As seriously no-go as the stupid quiz-call type programmes and any channel 5 documentary things where they try to jazz it up and make it a bit more racy and tabloid like- watched a program on the priory hoping to see some stuff about addiction rehab and it was like a Sun/Mirror/Hello magazine celeb frenzy - low rent TV.

I bloody hate it when they feel the need to use Northern accents to be sarcastic in the narration- seems to be Geordie usually - I find it offensive that they try to dumb it down using a particular regional accent.

Well all you nay-sayers don't know quality channel 4 programming when you see it!

The BBC hasn't put anything good on TV for years, at least Channel 4 is having a go! (and triumphing!)

forget Deal or No Deal, the best programmes on TV at the moment are as follows:

- Green Wing

- Mock the Week

- The Late Edition

nothing else worth watching.

I've watched it three times and I'm not.

It just seems to be a boring exercise in creating artificial tension when there isn't any.  Maybe I'm missing something...

I represent a Champagne company in the UK (I know, its a tough job (especially with all the tastings) but someone's got to do it) - and the French version of Deal or No Deal is not half as good as the UK version.  If you think about it D or ND is pretty poor TV, but Noel Edmonds makes its quite amusing.

I'd agree the BBC should pack up shop and stop charging us to expand their empire of mediocrity (re-runs of Keeping Up Appearances anyone?)

In my opinion US drama puts current UK TV to shame - I just finished the DVD box set of 24 season 5 and, although not as good as the other seasons, it still blew Spooks an other stuff like it away.

Still we do have Dr Who  :D

I represent a champagne drinker that's getting married in a few months.  Got any good deals on?

And Deal or No Deal is terrible.  On the rare occasions when I leave work early, I get home and 'er indoors is watching it.  Definately student telly.  What's wront with Diagnosis Murder and Quincy, good enough for when I was a student

Could someone be so kind as to pass this message on to the Audience in the "deal or No Deal" Studio.

Stop your chanting. What's in the box is in the box. Screaming "blue" repeatedly will not, for one second, alter it. You're just being stupid. Try getting out more. Do you shout at lottery scratchcards too, you morons.

(A friend I hadn't seen for about 5 years told me on new years eve I was the most easily riled person he'd ever met, a bit like Ed Byrne without the whimsy. When I find myself writing things like this, I realise he may well be right)

I think Blobby is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, it makes me laugh every time.  PDT_004  It's great how Noel got away with it, and the fact that blobby went to number 1 in the charts.  PDT_039
