They put my switch in the wrong way round, so i have been playing all rhythm with my neck pickup since i got this guitar and my perception of what a bridge pickup and neck pickup have been completely $%ed over because now i have to reverse it around.
So the reason why the C.Warpig wasn't doing much for me was because i wasn't actually using it!!
Tokai, you suck.

So what's your perception of it now?
-
Is yours a Korean or Jap?
I've heard their quality control isn't as good as it was.
-
It's a Jap made, and now my perception is that the neck is more bassy with generally less harmonics, and i thought it was the other way around lol
-
-
you're a plank..
-
Ha Haa
thats great!
-
The funniest part is...
It was right all along, Joe thought the rhythm/up position on the switch was for bridge and treble was for neck
-
-
 i was just about to say that Tom, it's actually quite hilarious, but i blame Epiphone for it!
It was a simple mistake because i thought if you switch to rhythm it meant bridge pup because you do all rhythm with the bridge pup!
-
^Unless you play jazz, which was what Gibson electrics were originally designed for........... (although to be fair, you play half your lead with the neck in Jazz as well).
Your wiring problem explains the pinch harmonics on the neck pickup conversation.
-
I knew that clip sounded like a warpig. No amount of recording volume will get you that 'monstrous' quality.
-
No that clip still wasnt a warpig it was the neck pup both times!
-
What? It's late, let's slow things down. You were on the rhythm setting of your switch, which you reversed the wiring on, giving you the treble pickup? Except that you rewired the switch after you did the clips. Right. Still weird, then.
-
this is too bloody confusing...

I hate to admit it but yes i am mentally retarded when it comes to guitar tech.
-
^ (me too- but let's not tell anyone, eh?)

So Joe, seems you owe Tokai an official apology for, um, questioning their sexuality.
Mabe you could change the thread title to Tokai Aren't Gay...?
-
On a related note, I just wired up my new Warpigs in my SG and have managed not only to get the pickup selector upside down but have also fitted the volume and tone pots completely back-to-front from how I wanted them. Looked right from behind the guitar. lol.
I guess that's what you get for finishing it off at 1am ...
The important bit is that they work (oh yes), I suppose I'll just have to get used to my new and unique dial layout :D
-
^
-
i blame Epiphone for it!
Why? :? where do they come into it? lol
-
^ hence why he's called CRAZY joe
-
ah,, i see - now it allll makes sense

Ah - apologies to Tokai are required I guess
I want to make a new switch surround that has STUN and KILL where Rhythm and treble used to be

I'd buy it - reminds me of GirlBrand Guitars who do a lot of stuff like that...
