hello,
does the VHII bridge model have a loose or tight bottom-end response? or somewhere in the middle?
thanks
-
VHII has very tight low end and a nice lower midrange growl.
-
awesome
by any chance, do you know how the VHII compares to the Seymour Duncan EVH humbucker?
trying to get that "Beautiful Girls" tone and vibe.
-
The output of both the VHII and the Duncan EVH are just about the same, the only main difference would be the AlNiCo used, V in the VHII and II in the Duncan EVH.
-
the VHII does early VH tones a treat, me and Twilight will both be a testamony to this, absolutly amazing pickup.. I've never heard anything as good out of any guitar in my life as the VHII.
although I really do like the Nailbomb, Mule, ColdSweat and MiracleMan but for totally different reasons.

VHII + HBE Power Screamer + Splawn = Early EVH to a T!!

does the Splawn not have enough gain and drive?? or are you using the Power Screamer for another purpose?
I've got a PV 5150 combo with JJ tubes. I'm hoping the VHII humbucker will be a good match for this amp.

No, the Splawn has plenty of gain. And I don't use the PS in front of it. I was merely stating a popular formula for many. (They use Gear 1 w/an OD in front of it)

Should be!!

well if u have a 5150 u wont have to worry about how much gain your pickup has coz those amps have stupid ammounts of gain, apparently based on the Soldano SLO100..
