Got the worst sort of news this morning. My good friend, and Metal Meltdown DJ/brainchild Sean Weber, was killed on his way home from school Wednesday night. I don't know any more details than that. (An unfortunate fact of life when you live in a city as big as NYC ... random, senseless violence can touch you at any time)
A lot of you have heard the radio show, or read my post promoting the show, as I've been a guest on it many times.
Sean was a great guy, 1,000% true metal down to his very core, and he will be sorely missed.

My sincere condolences.
Its a great shame when this sort of thing happens, I have had a friend killed being hit by a car, I didn't know him that well but I was at school at the time and it affected the whole school.
It always seems to happen to the best sort of people as well instead of the scum who's fault it normally is.
Im very sorry and lets hope he's Rocking out in the never-ending Metal Mayhem in the sky.

That sucks :( I hope they've caught the driver.
Although its not the same as being ran down by an idiot, my grandma passed away on Tuesday, it just seems weird knowing I wont see her again.
-
Really sorry to hear that, was it a hit and run or did the driver try to help?
Damn shame that is :(
-
Heartfelt condolences, man.

I am sorry to learn this Ben-condolences.

Thanx for the thoughful replies, people.
Yesterday was Sean's funeral. About 400 people in attendence. What a downer that was. Today was the first day that I didn't wake up obsessing on it, so perhaps the funeral did everyone some good. Here's hoping, anyway.
I was talking to Chris, the co-host of The Metal Meltdown, and it doesn't look likely tha the show will continue. However, there may be one final show this weekend, where Sean will be remembered, and we will pay our final respects to him. Chris asked if I would attend, and of course I said yes. I will let you know if the show actually happens.
