Ok i have a lot of future plans, involving (hopefully) a Prestige Ibanez with a Hoooooooly Diiiiverr.
Here's what i want. A clip in the style of Rockstars Lovefist (or even lovefist!) off of GTA Vice City, the way HD's are suppoed to be played, nice and 80's with some great old school tone!
I have heard cleans and extreme distortion, now do what it is supposed to do!!
-
Did you ever see my HD clip?
-
Yeah it was alright but not exactly what i was looking for. Have you heard the song by Rockstars Lovefist?
-
Bumped, Is Antag still around? If you are please can you do an 80's style clip with your Holy Divers.
-
Yep I'm still around. The Mrs has just given birth so I'm a bit limited on when & how loud I can record :)
80s rawk isn't really my thing but give me a few days, I'll come up with something....

OK, having struggled to get what I think of as an 80s sound from my rectifier, I just did this in one take right after my Painkiller clip. We really need someone who owns a JCM800 *cough*Feline*cough* & plays this kind of rock regularly to do this clip... :)
DISCLAIMER: I don't even own a copy of "Still of the Night" any more & am too lazy to search for a tab or download an MP3 of it, so this is purely from memory....
Jackson RR1T with Holy Diver, Mesa Rect-o-Verb 50W head, Mesa 2x122 (Vintage 30s), Sennheiser E906

Sounds quite good, though could do with a bit less distortion for a proper 80's metal sound, though i do love the rectifiers sound :D

JS used MESA boogies mainly on Whitesnake album. Colliseum I beleive if that is correct model?
-
the colliseum is a 180w mark III (which is very different from a recto)
raw jcm like tones
-
slightly less gain would be good indeed, but my god! how thick is that tone, great!
