So, anyone been watching it?! I've allready seen episodes 1-4 thanks to t'internet ;) Good as always. Any other 24 fans here? If so, you may find these amusing:

:D
"Jack Bauer sleeps with a pillow under his gun."
edit - just to make this slightly guitar related, Keifer Sutherland has a nice collection of guitars:

The one where David Palmer gets killed..

24 is awesome. no spoilers, please!
-
The biggest 'spoiler' of the season is that Elisha Cuthbert isnt in the cast :o
-
Meh i got bored at the end of season 3.
-
Well, I only have one thing to say to you -

Good God no. Elisha Cuthbert is the worst thing about 24. The plots are 157% worse (accurate scientifically proven figure) when she's involved.
-
True, but she's something good to look at
And yes, XXXXXXXXXXXX was shot :o
(Admin Edit: removed to prevent spoiling for those who haven't seen all of them yet. I've just blitzed Seasons 1-5 within three weeks! Sorry to hojack your Post!)
-
You've gotta admit it was hilarious when she got chased by a mountain lion (or something) and had to borrow some clothes from Kevin Dillon. All he had was a tiny white vest...
-

meh, I care more about the plot.

yeah, that was pretty handy. but serious 2 was the worst by far, the elisha cuthert storyline was stretched to the absolute limits.
-
Season 2 was the last one I saw, I only have terrestrial and Freeview. Or was Season 3 on Channel 5?
Can't say I'm bothered, there are very few US series that don't bore me after a few weeks. I have no patience nowadays.

hahaha I remember that one, it was bad indeed. Season 6 is good so far though.
Anyway, Prison Break is another good american series which is probably more exciting than 24, less predictable. And I've just got sick of lost now as they just keep dragging the story out.
-
I love 24 - but I always wait until the box set comes out so I can watch them over a few days in almost 'real time'. I find it much better tension than waiting a week (with the risk of missing an episode) - Have you noticed in Season 5 that they go a bit easy on the torture - could that be to do with revelation of Extraordinary Rendition?
And why, or why did they gratuously kill Almeida - he was the bollox of a foil to Bauer.
-

Don't get me started on Lost! It's all supposed to be building up towards some big revelation, but the individual episodes are so mind-numbingly tedious. All those "meaningful" bloody flashbacks...
And if the show's popularity fades, they'll never make that "big" final episode, so what a waste of everyone's time that'll have been. To be honest, I'm sure the writers are making it up as they go along anyway.

tony was always cooler than jack. but tony + jack = \m/.
remember that bit in serious 3 or 4 (i forget which)? jack's up the proverbial creek, he's like "I have to call the only guy I can trust!", then tony bursts in and shoots about 5 terrorists.
Awesome.
FWIW, I like Lost. Granted, the flashbacks are cr@p, and I really don't like the way they string things out... but it's still the best thing on after 24, IMO.
-
^I take it you havent watched prison break then ;)
IMHO much more exciting than lost even if it isnt as "clever" (well some bits are) or "strange".
-
^ i decided not to, it looked a bit, er, cr@p from the trailers. Too many exclamation marks etc.
You know like all those documentaries that are like "extreme tunnel collapses!!!!!!!!!!" and "world's most amazing tonsil operations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Kind of reminded me of that.
-
hahah I know what you mean, I didnt think it was gonna be any good but my brother had it all on his computer so I started watching it and it pulled me in.. I love the credits music on it aswell (and the 24 theme) not sure if thats extremely sad or what
-

season 6 of 24 ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuules!!!
ive done the same as tom- watched the first 4 episodes on the internet...
im getting really frustrated cause i wanna watch the rest NOW!!!
and AGGHGHGHGHGH at lost... its ridiculous...
i thought it was great until all the stupid stuff started happening... like huge clouds of black dust flying every where... wtf was all that about...
i lost interest completely after that.
-
So Sam, it ruuuuuuuules but then you completely lost interest?
That's what I'd call a short attention span.
-

nooo you silly sausage!!!
- 24 ruuuules
- Lost = lost interest...
-
and AGGHGHGHGHGH at lost... its ridiculous...
Totally missed that bit when I read your first post...
My eyes are going, as well as my brain....
-
Even my wife gets totally addicted to 24 (I wonder if that's something to do with Kiefer Sutherland .... ;)). We've only seen through Season 3, watching the DVDs in whacking great blocks when we get a chance. :) I never dig Elisha though (not even in secret ;)). She always seemed like eye-candy for whom the writers couldn''t fake up any other real purpose ....
Heh, didn't know Sutherland Jr. there played the geetar. He's sure got a bigger budget to spend on toys than I do! I wonder how good he is? (Wouldn't take much to beat me on that score either, admittedly! ;)). Where's his MP3s? :)
-
^ yeah, that's why I dislike elisha in 24 too. it's too obvious and gratuitous as to why she's there.
Good actress who also happens to look nice =
cr@p actress who is attractive and messes up the plot =

and everyone needs to stop insulting Elisha... seriously ... im almost offended.... especially you Dave... im disappointed...

Seeing as your all fans how do you explain that a series that is supposed to be in real time never has no traffic jam scenes and no 5 minute intervals whilst the characters answer the call of nature?
Those people must be the most constipated on the planet...
-
^ heh, i have no problem with elisha, she's very attractive. It's the messing around with the 24 plots to accommodate her that annoys me.
-
I really can't stand Elisha in 24. Eye candy, yeah, but pointless annoying eye candy.
On the other hand, she's by far the best thing about House Of Wax. Which shows just what a bag o' shitee it is, I suppose. And anyone would look good next to Paris Hilton.

lol thats EXACTLY what a mate of mine said today
its a good point indeed.
and dave- i feel she has certain assets which add to the overall success of the plot not deduct from it.... :)

advert breaks.
Plus, 24 episodes of traffic jams and going to the bathroom would be a pretty shitety series. Might be almost as bad as Will & Grace.

+ 1 billion.
Though, I didn't really watch House of Wax the entire way through, it seemed pretty horrible. I watched it in my patented "Watch 5 cr@p films at once on Sky Movies so you don't waste your time watching each of them separately" regime.
-

not really. If she hadn't been removed from series 3, I'd have probably given up, judging by the quality of series 2.
and how come cr@p is censored but shite isn't? :?
-
hahaha shes not THAT bad in my expert opinion...
although house of wax is preettttty terrible lol
-
and how come cr@p is censored but shitee isn't? :?
shitee seems to be actively encouraged - if you write sh*t it automatically gets turned into shitee (as it were).
-
im not sure if you understood what i meant by assets dave...?
ok ill stop trying to defend her now... she is pretty appalling.
and yer the swear-censoring is a bit odd... in fact your allowed to say '$%' arent you...
-
^obviously not... lol
-
^ haha, yeah.
how come sh it gets turned to shite?
irish swearing is encouraged? :?
-
maybe youve uncovered some BKP conspiracy...
could it be...
Ol is....
IRISH??!?!!
DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

I can't say I miss realistic touches of characters stuck in traffic jams and going to the loo. I mean, I can get that from real life -- I don't need it in entertainment! ;)
An regardless of Ms. Elisha's ... assets ... Not that I mind a bit of eye-candy, but it gets a bit tedious when they can't find another useful function for the eye-candy. And if all I want is eye-candy .... well, what am I doing watching 24, then? ;)
