thanks

The sinner would be best yes. But to really get that type of sound a humbucker is what you want. Either the Miracle Man (deftones EMG sound) or the Warpig (for those scooped Korn tones).

Id say the Nailbomb would be better for deftones as he actually use duncan JB's for the first three albums and his tone isnt that scooped. however a miracle man would work it just doesnt sound as full.

If you lift the pickguard on your Strat you'll probably find it's got what's called a pool rout (or possibly routed H-S-H). If so you'll be able to change the pickguard and fit a proper humbucker (or even 2 if you want).
If it's routed as S-S-S, or if you simply want to keep the S-S-S configuration, then a Sinner would work. They're pretty powerful pickups and give a great rock tone (I know, I have one  ), but they're not as well suited to the sort of music you're going for as a full sized humbucker.
You'll also have an issue with buzz, as whilst BKP single coils are good, they still suffer from 60 cycle hum just like any other single coil, and at that level of distortion it'll be noticeable.

you could get a set of uber sinner's... ie siner wound to 23k!!! thers a clip in the players section and i stll think its one of the best there... sounds absolutely incredible!!

thanks for the replies guys
its an s-s-s rout squier jv - i'm not too keen on doing any permanent modifications on it! hence the single coil.
sounds like sinner's my only real option here..

Hey,
I would go for the sinner, but, depending on the gear your using most of the BKP single coils could potentially would. I use Irish Tours and Apaches so far, and I can get some superb distortion tones that could rape a lot of normal HBs, and then you have the beautiful cleans. I could go for some sinners though, I have to say, i could go for some trilogies (another option for you) or some sinners for my A#, F, A#, F, A#, F tuned strat.
If you wait a little time my new ep will be mastered and you can hear the tones, also, my bro has used his BKP tele singles with a keely MT-2, and that is a huge sound, could serve you well :D

You could also use a single coil sized humbucker at the bridge and regular singles in the other two positions. BKP doesn't make singlebuckers, though. Another option would be - if single coil hum is a problem - to order three stock polarity singles (no RWRP middle) and get that Suhr backplate (BPSSC) to eliminate the hum.
