Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a copy? I have Slide It In on vinyl and CD, both of which are the same and I'm 99% certain are the US copies, but I'm really interested to hear the UK version of this album but I do not think I can buy it in the states.

try Amazon UK...

sometimes it's the track listing that gives it away
Uk version starts with Gambler rather than Slide It in
the UK version is really nice- I was so taken with the Sykes version when it came out a year later that I forgot how good the UK version is.
The US remix had more firepower, but relistening to the UK version you really appreciatethe stuff that Mickey moody played
As Mickey said to me once - slide guitar wasn't John Syke's forte but Mickey is a damn good slide player.

Thanks guys! I found a copy that appears to be remastered on amazon.us and from the sound clips I can tell it is the UK version.... sounds quite a bit different... much rawer....

funny you should post that, i read this thread about an hour ago and went and ordered that very cd! and the U.S. version. i tells ya, you feckers cost me a fortune with your goldarn reminiscing and recommending!
i'm just waiting for the price to come down on the re-releases of Trouble and Love hunter, my old versions sound a bit cr@ppy so hopefully these have been nicely remastered.
