Title: Bare Knuckle have done it once again.
Post by: Sekhmet on June 30, 2005, 08:14:29 PM
Just wanna say thanks to all the people at Bare Knuckle, you have one again exceeded my expectations.

I ordered through Mansons a Sinner (bridge) and two Mothers Milk (middle and neck) for my strat, and they absolutly blow anything i've ever heard away, my friends 59 in the neck sounds like plop, my other guitarist EMG's well i never really liked EMG's but this has just doomed them further from ever being in one of my guitars, My 2 friends at college with Rio Grandes, HA! is all i can say about that.

I would also like to say thanks for the speedy delivery.

I'l try and get some sound clips up as soon as i can buy a microphone,  the Sinner/Mothers milk combo sound really nice together.

All in all you've got a customer for life, currently saving up for a calibrated set of Miricle Men to go in my V.

*sigh* wont be getting any essays done now.

Thanks again.

Makes me proud to be British  :D

It seems that most of us, on this boad at least, are confirmed BKP lovers and complete converts. Sounds like there's another..... :D

The Sinner........aptly named, it's the wind from hell  .
It takes a 'long' time to wind but the result is worth it........single coil tone but gain to match a seriously hot humbucker.

Really glad you like it, the Mother's too-nice combination of all out power and tone you've gone for there. PDT_015

I have to say I love the Mother's Milks - they seem to get little mention on these boards, but they really have such a good tone that I can stop playing them.

I have to confess I have never heard the Red Hot Chilli Peppers  (yes its true) so I don't know the tone they are named after, but they sound like the ultimate 60s strat sound in my guitar.

Seems to sound better every time i play it  :D

As for the mothers milk tone, for clean its perfect for me, sounds so smooth but cuts through crystal clear, and in distortion its got a great hendrix sound.

As for the sinner, let the guys at the college have a go on it today, they can't beleive it's a single coil lol.

Was also speaking to a guy who works in mansons (can't for the life of me remember his name) he's got some mothers milk to, just talking about how nice they sound, we also agreed that you can't make a bad pick up hehe.

The Chili Peppers rock, you should check them out, Californication is a pretty cool album to start with I think. John Fruscianti is a cool guitarist. 8)

How much do the Mothers Milk differ from Irish Tours? My strat is loaded with Irish Tours, and I love the massive range of tones that can be achieved.

Has anyone swapped Mothers Milks to Irish Tour or vica-versa in their strat?

just fitted the set of irish tours to my aniversary strat!oh my god, what a difference, considering it was upposed to have custom shop pickups in it already, which looking at the construction i am very dubious about, it has an amazing tone now, much fuller and bluesier!
one down one to go!

Anyone got any comparisons to make between the two sets of pickups?

Irish tours are much hotter and have more midrange than the Mothers Milk. The mothers milk sound more 'woody strat' than the hot texas tone of the Tours.
