Hi all, not my first post, but I am a new member here.
I have a couple of rough recordings of my Nailbomb in action, and thought I'd share them, I LOVE my Nailbomb!!! :D
This is a song I wrote and recorded using Cubase, a bunch of plugins and my beautiful Nailbombed Warlock.
I use a modified BC Rich bronze series Warlock, Nailbomb on the Bridge and a DiMarzio Evolution at the neck. I record through a Pod XT Live straight into the soundcard on my PC, as I can't afford a nice big valve amp right now.
This track is entirely using the Nailbomb, alas I need to go back and bring the Guitar parts up a tad louder in the mix, as I don't feel I have done the Nailbomb sound much justice here, but this is a little preview of what my music is going to sound like in the future, only with louder guitar parts.
Disclaimer: I'm not a very good player, so please just concentrate on the sound, rather than my fretboard fumbling!

Well I appreciate the effort anyone makes when posting so well done. I think you put yourself down-nothing wrong with the playing at all. Given that my PC speakers probably don't do it justice, great sound. Now you'll have to forgive an old geezer-I am steeped in classic rock/blues but I found that was quite catchy.

Hey Beatle,
Thanks for the feedback! Honestly, to have someone of your taste to say that about my music is great! I have a wide range of tastes, a lot of people wouldn't know it to look at me, but I'm a massive Jethro Tull fan, and I'm quite partial to a lot of old blues and boogie stuff, ranging from John Lee Hooker to modern rock etc, so I thank you for the compliment!

sounds really cool! i like :D

cool clip. your playing didnt sound bad at all. did you do vocals as well?
-
Good stuff fellow Nailbomber!
-
Cheers for the compliments guys! Mucho appreciated, hehe.
Kanamvar, I did the vocals. Actually I did all of it, but I don't think I can take a lot of credit for the drums and bass as they were synths that I just mapped. But yes, I wrote and performed all of it. Full creative control is a good thing sometimes, hehe. :D

Sounds great and i like the playing, you play for the song it works really well. I like your vocals, i can hear a Devin Townsend vibe in there. Keep the music coming!

What POD patches are you using?
I'd like to hear a version with less reverb on the voices but a bit of delay/echo during the chorus would be ok :)

Umm...lemme think... I have the Metal Package upgrade and I'm using a modified version of the Big Bottom amp setting, it sounds pretty nice and chunky but I need to tweak it a tad more.
I'm fairly new at the whole recording thing, especially vocals, so thanks for the comment on that, I'll have a mess around later on with that. :)

Dude, seriously that was pretty badass...I liked the death metal vocals, I think they went really well with it. You're playing was really good too!
I'm definitely grabbing a set of Nailbombs for my new Ibanez.

No disclaimer necessary bud; stormin'! As beatle said, anyone going to the trouble to do these, and as tightly as you have..well, top marks to be honest. Every reason to be proud of your playing too, really well-controlled and matching the groove perfectly. Hearing anyone do their thing with passion really gets me going...and you've obviously got your head around Cubase too. (Not knowing much still about BKPs, I must say that the NB still sounds surprisingly organic...I'd be interested to hear your views on its comparison with the Evo, as I used to have a Universe. As I remember, it only flaoted my boat with one heck of a lot of processing.)

Damn that sounds good!

WoooooOOOOoooo.... 3 new comments, all good too! Hehe. Cheers guys!
Tony: Nailbombs are the DADDIES  . I think everyone who owns Guitars should have at least one Nailbomb on a Guitar at the bridge, cos when they riff.....*shudders*
Incidentally I have just finished jamming in an idea for a new song, and I fiddled with the settings on my Pod (the same patch as I used for the song above) and I got a better tone out of it, it sounds gorgeous, I'll post it up soon.
Zigmund: Well, I bought the Evolution a long time ago when I was still not quite a tone connoisseur, just because I knew it was a Steve Vai favourite. I used to have it in the bridge position, and it had a warmish tone, but it wasn't my cup of tea for riffage, and thought it would act much better as a neck pup, so I took the Nailbomb on reccommendation of my local Axe shop (Manson's Guitars in Exeter, top chaps) and after hearing a bunch of NB clips here (mainly thanks to lepersmeesa, nice one chap!).
In my humble opinion, the Nailbomb kicks the Evo's ass for riffage, and you can get a multitude of absolutely beautiful sounds out of it. The Evo now serves as my neck pup and I think that it's actually better suited to that role rather than as a Bridge pup.
The new track has a bit of the Evo in it too, so you'll be able to hear that going, but I'm definitely going to be investigating more BK's in the neck position too.
