No metal guitars just 'ol fashioned rockers. Steve, I think you and twinfan might be the only ones interested but I thought I might share anyway

Anybody with ideas on how to compress photos better than this please help.
These started out as 2.2mb images off of a 6.1 megapixel camera. They looked great. Compressed down to 791k they are now absolute rubbish.
I noticed some peopels photos look fantastic but these look grainy and horrible.

Very nice :D That maple necked strat looks the best of the lot I reckon..
-
l JP, I am fan of the "traditional" electric guitars and they look great.A mate of mine had an identical LP many years ago. You just need to add a Tele.
-
Yeah the sunburst on that maple-neck strat is the most beautiful sunburst i've ever seen on a strat - what do they call it?
I'd love a go with your gear!
-
Yep, very nice stuff. Those Strats look great. I must get some pics of my collection done.
Oh, and you definitely need a Tele ;)
-
Ab...solutely...GORGEOUS!! 8)
So come on then, specs and descriptions! And phwoar, BASSMAN!!
-
Very nice indeed !
As a fellow vintage guitar affectionado, I admire your collection. I have a maple neck Strat that looks like yours ( a MIJ '57 re-issue) and my other 3 guitars were cosmetically chosen and later wired to get that retro vibe. I wish I had your Bassman !
Twinfan is right, you do need a Telecaster - be warned though, they are very addictive ...

Is it a sienna sunburst?
Lovely guitar, but what happened with the scratchplate screws?
-
Its actually the Ash body Tobacco sunburst.
I have changed the Pickguard to a aged white from the standard mint green.
Here is a link to a picture of a rosewood board of the same colour on Fenders website.

The first person to stick their hand in the air and tell me that they are the same colour is SCREAMING LIAR.
Its really grown on me and I do like it now but It really needed a different colour guard and a set of slowhands are on their way.
I would have ordered them but the amp cam up last week and i had to grab it.

Ha fooled ya..... Its a Blues Deville

It's not the same colour. Their "tobacco sunburst" picture looks more like the modern version of the 3-colour sunburst.
Then again, looking at the sienna sunbursts like this (http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0117002747) one, yours is obviously a darker colour.
So it looks like Fender can't illustrate their own colours properly!
-
You got it.
That picture on the web page is going on 3 years old now.
Anyways I really like my strat
-
Thinking about it, Fender have actually chosen some very Gibson-like colours for the Deluxe series - tobacco sunburst on your Strat, and I've got an aged cherry sunburst Tele.
-
Yes to everything said really, with that ash tobacco burst my fave; a good bit of thinking from Fender of late. Oo, and the Deville too! A trouser-flapping weekend I feel at your gaff!
-
is that a reissue Bassman? - love those amps.
-
Dude, nice guitars and amp indeed, but you gotta remove those stickers from the anniversary strat (american flag and "60")
Reminds me of those people who leave their "Intel Inside" and "Designed for Windows" on their laptop ... the "DfW" always gets transferred to my toiled seat by the way
-
arf!

Normally I'm with you on that but this strat is technically my four month old sons. Since buying it last september it has been played 3 times ans has come out of its case about maybe 5 times.

How do you like the Ibanez Les Paul Recording? May years ago when I was playing pro, the singer/rhythm player had one. I just set up and fixed a real one for a friend and was really surprised at the sound from it. The pickups were like P-90's but with no hum!!!
