Title: Harrods guitar exhibition
Post by: Kilby on January 29, 2007, 10:48:59 PM
I wouldn't normally be arsed with such things as gazing at guitars in glass cases, but Harrods are having an exhibition starting on the 1st Feb

Theres some Strats with fancy artwork & stuff. However there is apparently 32 of Rory Gallaghers guitars including the 61 'Tatocaster' which I saw him play on at least 20 occasions.

Theres also guitars previously owned by Hendrix, Bo Diddly, Kieth Richards and the 1931 Rickenbacker Frying Pan.

anybody interested in heading up there @ the weekend ?

As a reminder of Rory http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mqZqhTl4A8

playing the same thing in Feb?  i think we should go for most guitarists playing the same thing in October, for some reason it's always been my favourite month 8)

OK so I phrased that badly.

However October was always a great month for me when I was younger, mostly involving wanding around the Queens festival in an altered state with enhanced senses.

I'm just glad big brother didn't exist in those days or I'd have no sanity left
