Firstly, is it possible to replace just a fretboard? My maverick arrived today in cherry red, it's just not quite right without maple, and replacing the whole neck seems a bit drastic.
Secondly, how much of a hassle is it to swap a floyd trem? The stock one does feel a bit cheap. I don't know if it depends on what brand you're swapping out or not?
Also, thirdly, and less importantly given the quite decent pickups it already has, painkillers, cold sweats or rebel yells? Just for shred/power metal, really, although versatile's always a bonus.
Cheers

don't know about 1 and 3 (though I suspect the answer to 3 is to use the stock pickups for a few weeks to decide what you don't like about them and what you want the new pickups to do for you), but the floyd basically depends on what's there already.
www.floydrose.com has routing templates, and http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/shop/products.php?category=207&product=1131 has the measurements for the gotoh one. If you email schaller, they'll send you routing templates too. it's just a matter of a lot of measuring- don't forget about the stud measurements either!

You can swap a fretboard, yes. Would cost a lot though - I'm guessing at least £200+???
