I'd like to know as well. Want to try setting up my Charvel's 6-screw vintage style trem properly so it stays in tune well like that..

All I can hear is bass!

My Strat stays in tune. I don't use the string retainer, as I find it unnecessary and it only adds extra friction. I have three springs in it in a W formation, and I put loads of pencil in the nut. The tuning's pretty rock solid if I stretch the strings in properly. Graphtech saddles are really good too, though I don't have them yet.
