Cheers- came out really nice!
It's a new colour stain we have been using
Sort of a violet blue (or "leaky biro" as I jokingly called it once )

So true.
DAMN Sexy SG - I'd buy if I had the money - what does something like that go for?
-
Thats a nice blueburst, second in my eyes only to the glorious rickenbacker bluebursts http://www.themusiczoo.com/Rickenbacker660_Blueburst_0605121.html though I did once see one of those that went wrong and had the most amazing Lavender Burst

That one was a custom built order and cost about £2000
Took about a year to make and was paid for in instalments to make it easier to afford.
Went out about two weeks ago and I keep getting excited emails from the owner about how pleased he is - so I guess it hit the mark!

If it plays half as good as it looks he bloody well should be happy with it.

Thanks guys - appreciate your enthusiasm
Thinking of having a bit of a blowout and selling some axes off cheaper at the London show - I want to clear some space so I can make new stuff and have a few more of these cool guitars out there being enjoyed rather than lurking here not being played as much as they should

Have a look here - scroll down the page and see what we have
Will talk deals before show if any of you guys want anything

I am a bit cheesed off that I cannot attend LGS this year as I fly back from my trip to the USA on 29th April and I cannot see me making it. T'would be nice to have met up again with you guys.
-
Jonathan you create some beautiful guitars for very fair prices, i salut you!
That SG is awesome - i'd love a go on that w/ an ENGL
-
Now that is a nice SG!
I need that thing
What are the other specs on that guitar (the only spec. I know so far is that it is blue  )?

mahogany body with maple cap
3 piece mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard
Neck is slim in Ibanez type dimensions
48mm wide at nut and 66mm at body end - slim wizard profile, 14-16" radius fingerboard
25.5" scale with 24 Dunlop frets
6100 up to 15th, and 6105 frets 16-24 (allows for more finger-room at top end)
Gotoh machineheads and tonepros bridge
Customer requested EMG 707s - otherwise would have used BKP - Warpig 7's
-
Nice!
Is it a set neck construction?
Do you make the compound radius fingerboards yourself?
Nice to see an SG with a Fender scale length...I guess that is because of the 7th string?
-
How do you get 7 string tuner sets? Do you just split up a set and use the rest for spares and other 7 strings, or do you have a supplier?
-
I'd smack babies to get my eggle finished like that. Tis beautiful.
-
Beautiful spec aswell.
Damn that guitar is gorgeous.
-
I've got an LP being made by Feline. I put the order in last August. Can't wait to see it!! :D

Well, they come in stets of 6, so when I went for tuners voor my first building project (which is not finished though), I had to look nice to the guy at the shop, to sell me one out of a set :)
But when you build lots of guitar, and you have certain channels to buy parts, maybe there are other ways.
Or you just build 6 7-strings :D

Yeah - anyone want a set of 5 machineheads - I've got some spare

Yep - a deep tenon set neck
Nicely contoured heel for easy access
Yeah - we do the compound thing ourselves
I have used the stewmac ready to use ones before and they are nice
The 25.5" scale was to keep the 7th string tight without going too fat in the gauge.
I suspect that "Leaky Biro" is gonna become an official colour
