Title: Strats for Mustang

I hope this is in the right section...anyway, I got hold of a fender mustang reissue the other day and the pickups leave rather a lot to be desired. I think id be going for the Irish tours but would these strat pubs be fine in it, or would I be better of with some tele ones?

I'm pretty sure Mustang pickups are the same size as Strat pickups.  Sound-wise, I have no idea I'm afraid.
