Hi
Looks like i'm gonna go for a set of Mothers Milk for my new Strat,, out of interest do many of you guy's use them? They dont crop up a lot as much as Apaches etc in convo's... :)
Cheers :)

I think they must be one of the most popular BK single coils and one of the most versatile. They have a little more poke than the Apache.

Nice one, i'm looking forward to getting them, have some Brown Sugars in my Tele, and if the quality of those is anything to go by, i will be a happy chappy

I have a mothers Milk Middle and Neck on my strat.
I absolutly love them, clean they have a very accoustic sound, give it a bit of overdrive and you've got a lovely smooth warm tone.
They also handle higher gain situations well, to put in to perspective, i've gigged with mothers milk in the neck/middle postion, and a sinner in the bridge in my thrash band and they did fine.
Let us know how you get on with them. They are, like all BKP's amazing pick ups.

Thanx Sekhmet-thats good news, as i want to use them for Punky distorted songs, and good old rock n roll, need versatility

If you go to my myspace page and listen to "Steve's blues" it features the Mothers Milk neck and middle in my strat. It may give you a idea of the tone. www.myspace.com/stevegladman

Cheers Steve, wicked playing there! 8) - great tone as well, sounds like the MM's will more than meet my overdrive needs, thanks!

I'm well impressed with that! Really nice playing and songwriting, and that's one hell of a thick Strat sound. Am I right in thinking the main riff is double-tracked - two different takes panned to the left and right?

Hi and thanks. Yes i recorded two tracks and panned them left and right. And it was using a Pod, i was well happy with the results.
