hey lazy ninja yeah the edwards are great guitars really well put together and a great sound, however check out my post in your other topic ( best les paul alternative or something)
-
From first to most current:
Cheapo Nylon strung acoustic - got lost somewhere?!
Yamaha Pacifica 012 in Blue Sparkle - great little guitar for when I was in my punk days, covered in World Industries Stickers and things... Shame in got smashed up.
Jackson JS30 - My first ROCK guitar, only a bottom range Jackson but it was made in Japan and it played beautifully and the stock pickups were great - had no end of troubele with the Floyd but that's the biggest one I regret getting rid of.
Fender Lite Ash Strat - Was a great playing guitar but the sound was cr@p - even with BKP's, it just sounded like a damn banjo. Part exchanged that.
Ibanez PGM301WH - my baby, I'd never even played one before buyig it and when I got it, it's just PERFECT. Soon to be BKP'd (maybe Holy Divers). This guitar will NEVER get sold.
Oakland Acoustic - Just a cheapo steel string, nice sound but sold it due to Poverty
Gibson Explorer - Part exchanged my Strat for it as I desperatley wanted a Gibson. I still owe £200 on it but that's a different story. Terrible guitar, sounded pants and played even worse, I just don't get on with any Gibson that isn't a Les Paul (which I'm fine with, weirdly?!). Part exchanged that for...
Jackson Kelly KE3 - Despite all the naysayers when I first bought it, its one of the best playing guitars I've ever owned. The neck is fantastic and with a single Miracle Man in the bridge it is a metal BEAST great for soloing and rhythm.
Andy!

Yeah I checked out the website. Great stuff. If only those NC idols didn't have those graphics. The maple necked one looked interesting I'd imagine it'd sound similar to the ZW camo LP.

OK, I'll play. This took some thought :)
Guitars I've owned but no longer own:
Kay classical
generic cheapo dreadnought acoustic, can't remember brand
Marlin Sidewinder
70s Gibson SG (you do not want to know what became of this  :()
Charvel model 3
Kramer something-or-other (blue w/maple fretboard, HSS, floyd)
Fernandes FR120 (magical guitar, to this day I regret selling it)
Fernandes JS90 (another beaut - 80s Fernandes' were gorgeous guitars)
Charvel 750XL
Patrick Eggle New York
Ibanez UV777 (or whatever the early 7 strings were called)
2 Charvel 550XL (yes, I really did own 3 of these - still have 1)
Jackson "pro" series archtop
Gibson Explorer
(I'm sure there are more to put in this list but my memory of the late 80s & early 90s is somewhat hazy)
Guitars I currently own: I'm rather embarrassed about the number of guitars I own, so I'll keep this list brief:
5 Gibsons
5 Jacksons
3 Warmoths
2 Charvels
2 PRS'
2 Taylors
1 Takamine
1 Esh (5-string bass)
:)
Guitars I had the chance to buy & am still kicking myself that I didn't:
Fender 80s strat w/kahler
80s Jackson custom shop archtop soloist w/kahler
Charvel model 6
Hamer Californian
Jackson "pro" Marty Freidman Firebird (a one-off Japanese prototype)
Ibanez S540? (when they were nice - the gold hardware/oval inlay ones)
JJ Hucke Sahara
Fender set-neck strat
Jackson custom Mustaine Firebird (one of only 4 built)
Jackson KV-2 (stock King V in black, price was an absolute steal)
Taylor K20C
Taylor 615E
Esh "Impact" 4-string bass (bought the 5 str, wish I'd got both)
BC Rich custom Warlock (bit of a cheat as the guitar didn't actually exist at the time: I was this > < close to pulling the trigger on a custom order, actually had my credit card in my hand, but had a sudden & uncharacteristic attack of stinginess...)
-
Shorter List than Most...
Sunn Mustang Strat...My first Guitar, now in a bad way, but undergoing extensive modification. Has a new bridge, pickguard and is routed for Soapbars. Work will resume soon, I hope.
Fender Japan 60's reissue...My second guitar. Candy apple red, with rosewood 'board. Stolen seven years ago, and I still search pawnshops for it.
Fender '72 Deluxe Tele...Uncertain provenance on this one! The parts were, apparently, bought out of a back door at the fender factory in the seventies, and then lay in a bag for thirty years, give or take. I had the body finished, and i assembled it after the Red Strat got nicked. Still a nice instrument, but not exactly versatile.
Fender Voodoocaster. Very, very nice guitar. Picked it up with insurance money from the red strat. Black, rosewood board. Eventually sold because I was offered £200 more than I paid for it. Don't regret it too much, as I really, really needed the money at the time
Patrick Eggle Wave prototype. My first, and thus far, only BKP'd guitar. Bought last year to shore up the gap between the Voodoo and the '72, but rapidly replaced both as my main instrument. Purple burst, BK P-90's.
The only things I've missed and really regreted were a Music Man Sub, Single pickup, hardtail in black, and a Johnny Greenwooded-up Tele Deluxe, with kill switch and Anime Pickguard.

70s Gibson SG (you do not want to know what became of this  :()
I do, I do!
Was gunna say so aswell :D
OK, but prepare to wince :)
I bought it for £230 in 1985 - a good price even in those days IMO. Sadly, it didn't have a case so I used to keep it in a cheap unpadded soft sleeve.
It met with 3 (yes, three) accidents within a few weeks of each other, at the end of which the headstock had parted company with the neck & the neck had pretty much parted company with the body :(
1) Typical mistake - left guitar leaning against amp, turned my back on it, crunch
2) Headstock was hit by passing van while I was waiting at a pedestrian crossing
3) Fell down some steep stairs running to catch a train & landed on head (the guitar, not me - I just got a grazed elbow, hole in the knee of my jeans, & severe case of embarrassment)
It sat around in pieces for a few months before I got round to taking it to a repair man. He told me that it would cost more to repair than the guitar had cost in the first place. I said "OK don't bother" & GAVE the pieces to him to throw away :!: :!:  (WTF was I thinking?!!? Even at 15 years old I should've been smarter than that!)
Nowadays I look at the prices for old Gibsons, remember that it was a nice guitar to play (don't believe all this bunk you read that all 70s Gibsons are poor quality), & wonder whether the repair guy repaired it & sold it or just kept it for himself...
-
Antag
Next time that you are throwing away some 'useless bits and pieces'....
Hindsight is a wonderful thing

2) Headstock was hit by passing van while I was waiting at a pedestrian crossing
That's the bit where I started hyperventilating xD xD xD xD
-
Hindsight is a wonderful thing
Yep, certainly is.
The one guitar-related thing I regret above all others (even the 70s SG) is not having the Fernandes FR120 any more.
The RRP was £729 in 1988 (must be going senile to remember such trivia :)), after some attempted bargaining I px'd my Charvel model 3 and Kramer for it. Some might call that a bad deal, but the Fernandes was a beautiful guitar - far superior to the Charvel or Kramer - & I REALLY wanted it.
In 1990/91 I went through a bad time (long story), gave up guitar for a year or so & sold all my stuff :(
When I started playing again, I searched high & low for another one (& many times since), but haven't been able to track one down. By all accounts it was an expensive guitar for the time & there weren't many in the UK anyway. Those who have them are probably keeping hold (wise people).
Perhaps I'm seeing it through rose-tinted specs, but if someone offered me a pristine FR120 with the trem in full working order, I'd pay a grand without even blinking & would give serious thought to handing over one of my US Jacksons in exchange...
-
2) Headstock was hit by passing van while I was waiting at a pedestrian crossing
That's the bit where I started hyperventilating xD xD xD xD
Important lesson for the inexperienced: When approaching a pedestian crossing carrying a guitar in a major city with heavy fast moving traffic, don't march right up to the kerb - the neck of the guitar sticks out about 2ft in front of you
The incident wasn't quite as dramatic as it sounds & nothing actually broke until the stair incident, but I'm convinced the earlier 2 mishaps had a cumulative effect. The guitar was never quite the same after it fell over - started having tuning problems that I hadn't before, then after the van incident I noticed a crack where the headstock pitches. So by the time the break happened, it was already my least favourite guitar, probably why I handed the bits over so casually...
-
PRS Tremonti SE (first guitar, now sold)
Epiphone Les Paul Std (not sold) [ has BD/MQ's in ]
OLP Musicman Axis Copy (just about has 3 strings on it)
Martin DX1K (still beautiful)
i also have a 3/4 length classical guitar lying around somewhere with a broken neck joint (i sat on it) which i have never actually played as i broke one of the strings before i learnt to play guitar, and never restrung it
:D
-
Haven't yet sold a guitar
first, a cheap nylon string acoustic. currently in the attic
Then i bought a fender strat, apparently jap made, but probably fake. Unless it really is a 58, in which case i'm a tit. The frets are quite worn, and the screws that hold the saddles up keep on winding down. Currently on loan to the bassist, but im thinking of a Gotoh-wilkinson VSVG and a warmoth neck to get it going again.
Then My tokai, loverly! would have BKP's but I'm incapable of saving up...
In the frigging post, due here tommorrow... Maple fretboard charvel (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=110090655645&rd=1&rd=1)!!! £85
-
I don't think I could ever sell A Parker Fly :(
It was very nice in some regards but the tone was...to be honest...terrible. The poplar body with the dimarzio pickups just gave a painfully sterile and ear splittingly harsh tone....imo at least. I like thick mellow sounds as a rule so it was totaly a bad choice but i had always wanted one and it was a bargin and i ended up making a profit on it so.....
-
Here's my 2 cents :) :
Currently own:
Yamaha Pacifica 812W (a bit of which is visible in my avatar)
Epiphone Les Paul Standard (much modified - refret, locking tuners, all pots and switches changed, coil taps and now Mules!)
Fender Lite Ash Telecaster
PRS SE Singlecut (currently wondering which BKs to put in this!)
Yamaha APX4 electro-acoustic
ESP Ltd M302 (currently for sale)
Yamaha RGX 420 Drop6 (also currently for sale)
Previously owned:
Yamaha Pacifica 112 - my first guitar, now doing service with a friend who started playing last year, having been previously sold to another friend who kept it in a cupboard for 6 years instead of playing it.
Ibanez RG470 - traded against the ESP, with no regrets.
Next project, which the ESP and Drop6 are being sold to help fund:
A Warmoth VIP (the planned new home for my Warpigs, which are currently annoying the hell out of me because they are sitting in a box, not helping me create mayhem!)
BTW Antag, how does your Warmoth VIP stand up to the PRS guitars? I'm curious as to how close I can get for half the price!

How are you finding the H-1000?
I spent an hour playing one a few weeks ago and found it to be one of the easiest guitars to play of which I've ever played.
What's your conclusion of it after owning it?
-
Guitars I own:
ESP LTD EC-1000
Squier Strat Pro Tone Series. Lol
My list is dwarfed compared to you guys. I am planning on buying an Ibanez then maybe BKP'ing it with a Holydriver.
-
BTW Antag, how does your Warmoth VIP stand up to the PRS guitars? I'm curious as to how close I can get for half the price!
It doesn't really. Apart from a passing resemblence in body shape (the VIP is bigger & thicker), it's a totally different guitar:
25½" scale, bolt on maple neck, floyd rose, v-shaped neck profile, BKP MM & CS.
I like the VIP & play it a lot. It was a bit of an impulse buy - saw the floyd routed VIP body & neck with R3 nut prep in the showcase, both already finished & decided "what the hell" because I've come back to using the Floyd in recent years but don't have many guitars with them. If I was having a neck & body built from scratch I probably wouldn't have got those specs, but it's a nice guitar & I'm glad I got it.
FWIW there's a pic on pg17 of the BKP pics thread.

Dude, most famous people don't even have that many guitar D:
Antag's worse than me isn't he? I just like to have "one of everything" except for the Ibanez sub-collection...
-
Well, it goes something like this...
80's Japanese Fender Strat with Trilogy Suites, bought 16 years ago and in the possession of someone else for a lot of that time...
Gibson SG Goddess with Mississippi Queens, and individual tone/vol pots (Gibson don't do that on the Goddesses, but they do on their others, go figure...)
Burns Double Six, with a brass nut for some reason. Apparently that's not normal?
Vintage AV3 (335-alike). I'm probably going to be putting a pair of Rebel Yells in this, and adding concentric pots so there's individual tone/vol/coil splits for each pickup. (Yes, coil split is done with a pot, not push/pull)
And one on order, which I'll be getting in 18 months to two years...
-
Headstock was hit by passing van while I was waiting at a pedestrian crossing
Ouch, I've had that happen more than once - but only with hard cases, so no harm done!

Interested to see you had a Hamer Eclipse too. That was a nice little guitar, but somehow it just wasn't quite as good as it should have been.
-
Had to sell the old Melody Maker due to some financial hardship, a tale involving:
a) caring for the wife's parents over the past year (trying to avoid nursing home),
b) being tagged by the IRS for a foul-up on my 2004 taxes (sadly, it was indeed my error), and
c) a lot more, but those two will do to go on with.......
I got a respectable price on eBay, and it's on its way to a new home in Australia. Long may it rock the Antipodes! :)

-Don't remember make/model of my first electric. It had a body like a Tele, a trem like a Strat, 2 humbuckers like a Les Paul, and a pointy headstock like a Jackson. A bit of a frankenstein guitar, with a trem so stiff it practically needed 2 hands to use.

Just wondering, do you like the PG Plus, or did you just take the Mule out to put in your Lonestar?
I still have the PG Plus in my Double Fat Strat, and to me it sounds horribly bright and harsh. I'll definitely be changing it (eventually).
-
Wow! Some people have lots of guitars....I don't have the space for that...and changing strings for 2000 guitars every 2 months doesn't sound like fun either :D
Guitars I don't have anymore:
Godin G-5000
1983 Fender strat completely changed with floyd, humbuckers, extra switches 'nd stuff
Gibson les paul studio
Bass Collection 4-string bass (don't know type anymore)
Guitars I have:
Fenix stratocaster (first guitar, will never sell it!)
Musicman Silhouette Special (NB + 2x IT)
Parker Fly deluxe
Kritz Stradovarius solidbody (BKP Nailbomb set)
Gibson SG gothic w/ EMG's
Jose Rodriguez model 20 (nylon acoustic; no BKP's needed)
L'arrivee L-01 (steelstring acoustic, no BKP's needed)
MTD Heir 5 bass
Guitars in the make:
Strat with 22 frets maple neck, 9,5" maple fretboard, alder body, and the rest still to be decided later :)
7-string mockingbird model, ash body w/maple top (well, thin top) + wenge veneer, laminated neck (maple/padouk/maple) w/ rosewood fingerboard, vintage style tremolo (not really; 2 pivoting points), sperzel tuners, BKP ceramic warpig + cold sweat, 1 tone, 2 volume controls + 3-position switch.

Forgot My future plans there, right enough...
Ideally, another strat is going to have to be bought. I'm thinking something green or blue metallic, singles all the way, vintagely styled as possible, for a set of Irish Tours.
Buy a Gibson "The Paul" off a mate of mine. Definitley one of the most under-rated instruments I've ever had in my hand. Hear it at http://www.myspace.com/jointhedeafclub
That's not me playing, right enough, but it's a lovely, lovely thing.
I'd like a doublebound Tele of some kind, and the one I was talking about with Jonathan from Feline...I will order it properly, some day!!!
-
Righty-o then, I own:
Patrick Eggle Vintage Classic (no hardware on it and it still needs a final buffing. Absolutely stunbning guitar)
CSL Firebird (70's Ibanez, needs all the hardware and a bit of tlc)
Applause semi round back acoustic (string missing, still not got round to changing it)
Dodgy old strat copy that I hollowed out and turned into a thinline strat while I was drunk. Painted in hammerite and left in pieces under a bed. Think I've even sold the neck now.
3/4 size spanish that cost me £12 from the Argos warehouse when I worked there. Haven't changed the strings for 8 years. Just arranged to give it to my mates kids.
Half built project guitar. Les Paul Double Cut. Body made (mahogany and 4A quilted maple), but I hit some dodgy wood in the headstock so the neck needs to be remade. Not got the money to carry it on at the minute, but can hopefully start again after I've paid for the wedding.
Squire Strat which I'm borrowing as non of my guitars are playable
All through my Vox AD30VT amp.

Woah, Mirage Deluxe?
That's the LTD M1000 or the ESP MII Custom?
I'm guessing the 2nd since you would have mentioned LTD if it was LTD like you did for your old 350, and since you can't get the M1000 in Green. If I'm right then PLEASE tell me what they're like, for the price they'd have to be orgasmic.
-
They are great, the green ESP was my first proper guitar, I used it for ten years. They're so well made, not like the cheaper more recent Ltd's.
The green one is like toothpaste green, with an esp humbucker at the bridge and a power rail at the neck, the fretboard s are ebony and the hardware is solid, not like the smelted cheapy floyds you get these days. I think they were both made towards the end of the 80's.
You see them in lots of cheesy 80's vids like whitesnakes here I go again.
They are full on rock monsters, the green one cost me £800 back in 95, but I picked the purple sunburst one of ebay for £300. They went for nearly a grand and a half new, which is a little on the pricy side, but the quality is much better than a standard les paul say.
-
Sounds absolutely freaking awesome.
A mate of mine has the Mirage II Standard from about 2004, it's absolutely lovely aswell.
-
Just wondering, do you like the PG Plus, or did you just take the Mule out to put in your Lonestar?
I still have the PG Plus in my Double Fat Strat, and to me it sounds horribly bright and harsh. I'll definitely be changing it (eventually).
I moved the Mule from my HM Strat to my Lonestar Strat to see how it would sound. It sounds great (much better in the alder Lonestar than basswood HM), but I haven't decided yet if I'm going to leave it there or put the Sinner back in (which also sounds great).
I put the PG Plus in the HM Strat as it was the only spare pickup I had that was the correct spacing (others are Gibson spaced). It was the original pickup in the Lonestar Strat (along with 2 Texas Specials), and actually sounds quite nice in the HM Strat (though not as nice as the Mule).
If you've got the PG Plus in the bridge you probably have a '59 in the neck (I think that was the setup on that model). I had a '59 in my Wolfgang, and thought it was a really nice pickup. If you like it, then a set of Mules may be just the ticket for you.

Correct, it has the PG Plus/'59 combo. To be honest, I find both Duncans unpleasantly harsh and bright in this guitar - but then I'm not that familiar with HBs in Strats, most of my guitars are mahogany set-necks so I'm used to a much rounder tone.
I expect the Mules would be an improvement in the Strat, but I'm going to go for something really fat and warm - possibly VHIIs, more likely Crawlers, maybe even Holydivers (although they may be a bit too metal for me).
-
hmm let's see
70's 3/4 sized nylon acoustic (no name) complete with muppets stickers and pictures of Buzby (remember him from the BT ads old timers? )
60's Hofner president with badly repaired neck break (will fix one day)
Yamaha RGX112 the SSH version (neck did a pretzel impression  )
Crafter acoustic (sold)
Westfield Telecaster copy (should be taken out and shot :x )
Unbranded Black Yamaha APX copy (the cheap and cheerful party guitar)
2002 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Ebony (reluctantly sold and sorely missed  )
-
Wow, many awesome guitars. I actually don't have too many guitars, but I'm very happy still.
ESP Eclipse CTM-I (the vintage black LesPaul-type thingie)
Gibson SG Standard (for which I worked my butt off in Highschool in a supermarket)
LTD Gl-600 baritone
Guitars I've owned and sold
Ibanez Blazer or something (a red strat w/ white pickguard)
Ibanez RG550
Hoyer LesPaul Copy (I think it was Hoyer, some German brand)
BC Rich NJ Warlock (my brother has it now)
-
Will list all mine seperately then aswell..
Cimar by Ibanez Strat Copy - First electric, still got it, great guitar.
Squier Standard Telecaster LE - 2nd guitar, modded as hell, BKPs, full electrics overhaul w/ 4way switching, PW locking tuners, bone nut, reverse control plate etc.
Epiphone Korina Flying V - Currently in pieces back in Aus, awaiting modding when I get back.
1986 Fender MIJ '54 Re-issue Esquire - All stock except the saddles, my #1 guitar.
1985 Fender MIJ '62 Re-issue Esquire - Stock except for brass saddles aswell.
Vester 'Tradition' Telecaster - MIK, butchered it with a LH neck, refinish, new everything, now it's an Esquire. Probably the best sounding guitar I have, very lively tone, really responsive.
"Session" Superstrat-a-like - Bought it as my first modding project, now has a blood splatter 'XXX' finish, EMG 81 pickup, scalloped frets and a new bridge. Needs a fret level to be perfect but it's great fun, super light guitar.
These ones have moved on..
Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty 3 - Was nice to look at but I never bonded with it, far too heavy.
Epiphone Gothic Explorer - Had an OFR and EMGs. Played great, looked/sounded good I just hated setting up the trem and never using it. Could get the action amazingly low though, probably the fastest playing guitar I've owned.
ESP Viper Camo Standard Series - Great guitar but always hated the finish.
1986 Fender MIJ '62 Re-issue Telecaster - Was mint, all original, sold it to fund my Takamine though. Kinda regret it but it never got played much anyway, would just be nice to still have it in the collection.
Squier Affinity Stratocaster - Bought it used planning a project but never got around to it and sold it on. Pretty good guitar for what I paid.
Squier Affinity Telecaster - Got in a trade, wanted the money at the time so I sold it on. Good value for money IMO.
Schecter PT Blackjack - Nice looking, great feeling neck but I hated the enormous frets and the SD JB bridge pickup sucked major balls.
Jackson JS10 - Got in a trade, neck was wayyy too skinny for me so I flogged it on.
Teisco-a-like weird guitar - eBayed it on a whim for like $20, had a almost 3/4 scale length and realllly unstable neck joint, was just waiting to be snapped in half so I gave it to a friend. Weird single coil pickups sounded pretty good though.
Acoustics:
Takamine EN40c - Brilliant guitar, mid 90s and well played before I got it, well played now too. Probably keep it forever, love the sound and feel. Amazing value.
Crafter TC035/N acoustic - My first proper acoustic, was great value but I just wanted to upgrade since I play so many sessions and stuff now.
No brand nylon acoustic - Got it off a friend for dead cheap, had it for ages and played some spanish stuff on it then gave it away to another mate on a whim.
Mahalo Ukulele - Bought it on a whim, pretty fun to try play guitar stuff on it, signed by Mark Morton and John Campbell from Lamb Of God .. Lol
That's all I can remember.. Massive post..
-

This will probably weird people out... Just about all of these were modded as I can't leave stuff alone.
Sold (pics here (http://www.juansolo.demon.co.uk/geetah/oldgits.html)):
Ltd EC200QM - My first guitar. It went through a range of EMGs (89R set, 81/60, sure it might have even had an 89R/60A in there at some point...), Sperzels, 18v mod, yadda, yadda.
Edwards E-LP90-LTS - Again had lots done to it over the years as I like to experiment (missus). Started out as a JB/59, then SD/PAF, then Jimmy Paige wiring, then not, then a pair of Phat Cats. I was an idiot to sell it and to this day cannot remember why in the hell I did!
Gibson Voodoo SG - Possibly the last new one in the country when I bought it (I think I phoned around everywhere to get it). Hated the stock pups, ended up with a Duncan Distortion and a 59 in there. Sperzelised also. Sold because for what it cost I decided I was unworthy of it, given my ineptitude of playage.
ESP Eclipse ACSB - Bought it from a friend as it was just a thing of extreme beauty. One day I dinged it and was mortified. I never really took it out of the case after that so sold it because I never used it. Had an 81/60 set in there.
Fender Partsocaster - Technically I put it together for me but ended up giving it to my brother for his 40th. Really nice spec. Still on the EMG thing at this point so it had (and still has) one of the 89Rs out of the EC200 and a pair of SAs. Sperzels, Fender hardware, Mighty Mite woody bits, etc.
Essentially I came to the conclusion I prefer cheaper guitars. Odd I know, but they suit me and I don't feel as guilty when I dick around with them.
Current stock (pics here (http://www.juansolo.demon.co.uk/geetah/gits.html)):
Ltd Viper 400 - Love it. Big heavy thing with a BKP C-Pig and MQ in it.
PRS SE Soapbar II - Loaded with a pair of BKP-91s, fitted with an intonatable tonepros bridge and some fancy locking grovers. This thing is one of the most awesome axes I've ever heard (incidentally was my first BKP loaded axe...). It's just awesome and totally kicks so far above it's price tag it's untrue.
Fender Classic '50s Strat - A set of Slowhands in this with a baseplated bridge and stock wound middle. A recent addition. I love strats and missed having one. This Mexi proved to be much better than I expected.
2x Ibanez NDM1 - Noodles sigs. One has an 81/60 set in it and sperzels. The other is currently in pieces again and is probably going to get a set of BKPs. As it stands it's now natural finished, has a Mothers Milk middle, a Stormy Monday on the way for the neck and potentially another BKP for the bridge. If not a Super Distortion will be going back in, but not before I've stuck a cover on it.

Essentially I came to the conclusion I prefer cheaper guitars. Odd I know, but they suit me and I don't feel as guilty when I dick around with them.
No, I understand exactly what you mean! I have mostly mid-priced guitars, all of them modded one way or another - I was thinking the other day that I only have one guitar which I regard as "finished" (there are a few others which don't need anything doing, but I'm contemplating a few neck swaps and pickup changes).
But I also have a couple of PRS guitars. There's no doubt they are "better" than my cheapies, and so far I've felt like they're "too good" to be tampered with... which spoils the fun a bit. But I am starting to come round to the idea of doing some non-destructive mods on them. :)
I like your stripped NDM1 - I was never very keen on that Talman/Noodles shape, but it looks brilliant with the natural finish and black parts! :D

* WV ???, trem equipped guitar with constantly changing electric gizmos

But I also have a couple of PRS guitars. There's no doubt they are "better" than my cheapies, and so far I've felt like they're "too good" to be tampered with... which spoils the fun a bit. But I am starting to come round to the idea of doing some non-destructive mods on them. :)
I like your stripped NDM1 - I was never very keen on that Talman/Noodles shape, but it looks brilliant with the natural finish and black parts! :D
Cheers. Originally it was going to be painted daphne blue, but due to oddness with glue seepage from the gaffa tape, that never happened. Luckily the wood wasn't to bad and oiled up far better than expected. It's gonna end up with chrome covered humbuckers in it. I'm hoping that doesn't turn out too jarring as it does look kinda cool right now.

I have had one guitar for nearly 27 years. The others have been rather more... fleeting. :|

copied and pasted from the other similar thread. Amp info also included
I havent been through loads. Been playing about 8 years now I think. I started with a Jim Harley strat and some cheap Kustom 10w amp. I still have that guitars body but its been stripped down and oiled, I just dont have a neck for it. Thinking about picking up one of those £30 ones off ebay but cant decide whether to get maple or rosewood board. I dont think they do a large headstock either which is a bit of a disappointment.
I then moved up to a Kustom KGA65 which I still have in the attic somewhere. Didnt like the distortion on it for some reason so I got a V-Amp 2 (which I also still have). At this time I got my Epiphone LP Custom which I also still have, stopped playing the strat for about 5 years of solid LP usage which is why I love them so much now and cant get on with other guitars very well :P Anyway by this time I was a bit bored of the Kustom so I got a Fender HRDx, tried for about 2 years with various pedals to get a sound I was happy with but never did so ended up getting my dad to get me a Laney GH50L for my 18th :D The year after that I bought a Charvel Model 1c but got rid of it after a few months as it sounded shiteeee with any pickups I tried. Put together a parts strat last summer. It looked great but I cant get on with the sound of normal sss strats and it didnt play too well either. Sold that to Brow and sort of regret it as it looks awesome now and I bet it plays nice after a proper setup and fret dress. Didnt bother with new guitars until March of this year I think it was, where I bought Twinfans Pearl LP Custom. Love it now its had a decent fret dress and setup :)
well that ended up being longer than I thought it would be!
for the tl;dr guys, thats a total of:
5 guitars (2 of which I still own)
4 amps (1 of which I still own)
various pedals, ended up keeping the Keeley Rat I bought off HJM and still use it quite a bit.
