Fatter: Holy Diver, by a mile
Heavier: By my definition, Holy Diver - it has more "chunk" whereas the Nailbomb has more "cut".
Tighter: Not much in it, possibly Nailbomb - both are fairly "open" sounding pickups

I don't have the Nailbomb but i have a set of Holy Divers, if you want it tighter or heavier then you could always ask for a Ceramic magnet in the bridge like i did instead of the standard Alnico V, that would get you more harmonics and stuff.

However i think the Nailbomb would be the heavier pickup as it is the choice for a lot of the death metallers and metalcore guys in here. Holy DIver is traditionally chosen for it' 80's sound hence why it is called the Holy Diver, and that's why i got myn.

So Fatter - Holy Diver
Tighter - Both are pretty tight
Heavier - Nailbomb

i'm still confused
and what about alnico miracle man?
i want an alnico pickup

i'll probably go with holy diver, cause i'm more on low mid side, but warpig seems too powerful for me

i'm using a 22k chinese mighty mite motherbucker (alnico 5 magnet) and a gibson 496r
i want something with more tone and more open sounding, but i don't want that ceramic top end i had with gibson 500t, or i would buy a painkiller that seems to be on the same ballpark

my guitar is an early 90's japanese Hurricane Les Paul Custom (that brand that endorsed Marty Friedman and Jason Becker in the late 80's and made the acoustic guitars for Fender Japan)
i'll use a mesa single recto or my peavey rockmaster and i play modern metal (machine head, down, KsE)
i know miracle man would be better for my kind of sound, but i like pickups with fuller mids and less spikey top end

Get another Holy Diver for the neck, you don't want a neck humbucker that overpowers the Holy Diver bridge.

yeah, but i've read that the neck version is like a duncan jazz or something (7.8k)
i want something hotter for high gain soloing
i don't use too much clean

what about nailbomb neck?
cold sweat neck seems interesting too

I emailed tim last week to ask about some pickups myself, one of the things he told me was that the nailbomb neck pickup is 10.3k

after a lot of searching i've read that cold sweat neck is a little less hot than nailbomb neck
Tim said that Chris Broderick uses nailbomb bridge + cold sweat neck
i like Broderick neck lead tones  :twisted:
Antag said that Holy Diver has more output than Nailbomb, so i think CS neck won't overpower the HD  :P
