Title: My first doom track ( nailbombs )

This is the first doom style track I have ever tried. Haven't done vocals yet, but  will be trying out some vocals over the next few days.

Any comments etc would be much appreciated. If any of you have heard anything else I've done. This is pretty different.

Yes, quite a departure from your usual fare ... I like it. Nice, saturated tone.

Phew, seriously phat stuff going on there. I don't know Doom but i find your track absolutely amazing, like what we've come to expect from you!

Very evil tone in a good way.

Hey thanks for the comments guys. I have to agree with TO sentiments of DOOOOOM!

For this recording I just used my POD XT for bass and guitar and DFH. Going to be recording another version of it with real drums and a cranked old marshall head hopefully!

Great stuff!  The DKFH sounds very good as well.  How do make that (harmonic?) sound at 5:31???

really aggresive picking up from the high e to the d harmonic on the 3rd fret, but find the one which doesnt ring on for too long and sounds quite dirty.

on the first track of the page. called TLMC
and i liked the ANATHEMishy track "Uni Work

I love this clip! This is the kind of metal that I really like, it's well composed as well as the good tone and playing. I like the way it's different to most other metal, the vocals make it even better though! :twisted:

Absolutely and positively SICK!!  This is the Sludge Doom they don't play you in grade school, WOW!  This tops much of what i have heard, whilst different from bands such as Grief, Ocean, Monarch, MOSS, etc.  This is something at that level, i don't have any experience here on this forum, but as a first impression i am blown away (Especially by the pickups!).  Cheers man, there needs to be more of this, AND SOON!

Thanks for the replies guys! Going to be starting up the band next year as a bit of a laugh. Play gigs, get pissed kind of thing. Im going to be doing vocals live, but recording most of the stuff I think.
