Do you know of any British brand that sell guitar parts you could use for a guitar project?
-
WD Music for generic parts, and I hear SIMS custom shop do custom CNC made parts these days, along with myriad finish options.
-
David Dyke, craft supplies and www.axesrus.com which can be cheap.
-
There really are no equivalencies to Warmoth that I know of.
And Warmoth aren't just cheap parts; they are very high quality, and an all-Warmoth guitar will still cost as much as a production guitar will.

Allparts and WD are great for parts and hardware.
For necks and bodies, Allparts and WD stuff is good, but Warmoth are in a whole different league for quality and choice. And they're not that much more expensive either, even when you're importing into the UK.

+1
My korina strat cost >£900 for all the parts, BKPs, shipping/import duty/VAT etc but it's a lovely guitar that I enjoy playing as much as any of my other guitars. I'd gladly build another one (& probably will someday)

Allparts fit in finish is not the same qality as Warmoth.
The thread starter asked for an equivalent; ie. something that is equal. Allparts is not equal to Warmoth!!
(I know this sticks in the throats of my European friends ... yes, The US of A does still have some people here that know how to build stuff these days!! PDT_008)

We have no doubts that your tanks, missiles, rifles, viruses, chemical weapons and echolons are absolute state of the art

Huh, potentially some good deals on bodies there. But, bizarrely IMO, very few necks listed with more than 22 frets ....
(I keep thinking the way to my dream of a PRS-inspired best-of-LP/Strat-combo is making my own guitar with a 24-fret, 25" scale maple (or similar) neck to a mahogany (or similar) body (maybe with, maybe without a maple top, I dunno) with decent upper fret access. That seems like such an obvious way to make a good, versatile guitar that I can't believe the market is not awash with them. But, no, it's all LP and Strat (and, these days, Ibanez) copies .... :P

Thinking about it, I don't think I am gonna go with a project for my Tele GAS. The American series seems to be everything I want from a tele, and I just about started to do works on guitar. A project now would a bit ambitious.
On the other hand, in some years, once I'll be really used to mod guitars, I might take on a project for semi hollow body with P90s. Unless going semi hollow is making things to complicated. I think it is definitely something to think about.
