Just researching new cabs, and I found out that the Framus 2x12 is made of "marine ply" .. never heard of that. So is it good for cab construction? Oh heres the link to where I found that -

Thanks for any help :)

marine ply is moisture resistant plywood they use it for boats, hence the name. It's perfect for cabs, but unless you're concerned about humidity (ie playing in the tropics) not really worth the extra expense :D .

Thanks. The framus 2x12 doesnt have the option of normal ply, so I was just wondering if marine ply sounds as good as birch ply or whatever is normally used..

Matamp use Marine Ply and their cabs are supposedly the Mutts.
-
marine ply is more solid and sturdy becasue it doesnt/shouldnt have any voids in it like standard ply does.

I see, cool :) If matamp use marine ply then thats good enough for me, apparently their cabs are awesome.
