Title: wiring question for Geoff Whitehorns "Crawler-Strat&quo
Post by: spocki01 on March 09, 2007, 02:00:33 PM
Hi there,

does anyone of you know how Geoff´s Crawler-HSS-Strat is wired up?
HB-Split-Mode in Pos. 4? Pot values (250 or 500k)?

I know he´s playing many different guitars, but I saw him years ago at the Frankfurt Music Fair with his Strat as pictured by the Crawler HSS-Set.

It sounded amazing through all Pickup positions!

I have the same set in an Ernie Ball Silhouette Special - great, but I have to compromise between 250k for great SC-Sound or 500k for great HB-Sound.
The Crawler sounds a bit too dark with 250k and the SC too bright with 500k! I´ll add a 500k resistor in parellel to the SC next time. hope that´ll solve the problem.

cheers,

spocki
