Well i have nt yet tried any Heritage LP but word is they have better QC and most importantly has beta tone and no lemons. Is this true? Would i be better off spending money on a Gibby LP or Heritage?? Which is a safer bet?? And lastly how much is the price difference btw GIbson LP and Heritage LP??

Heritage guitars are built by the old gibson staff in kalamazoo, michigan. They build pretty much the exact same guitars they always built. The quality is far better and more consistantly better than a modern gibson. In some cases the price of them is less aswell, which makes them an even more attractive prospect.
The only real drawback to these guitars is that will probably not hold their value so much as their Gibson counterparts, since it doesn't have "the name" on the headstock.
Really just ask yourself whether you want a players guitar or a collectors guitar.

Agreed. Personally, I'd hunt out a "good" Gibson.
-
Oooh well for me a gd Gibson is of coz wat i want but so far have nt been having any gd luck wif Gibby LP... But da Heritage seems to have many pple raving abt em
-
How about the Navigator, which is sort of like an ESP custom shop? I've seen raving reviews.
-
navigators are bloody expensive
-
aren't heritage meant to have thinner bodies?
-
Well to me it dun matter wat brand or if its custom shop. If it sounds and play gd, adn the price is rite. I will consider, i juz want an LP but dun mind the brand. But just have nt have a chance to try out Heritage yet.
-
What about Tokai's? a third of the price & sound and look as good as a Gibbo!I've tried the Heritage range as well, and again Prefer my Tokai
-
gordon smiths would also be worth a look in addition to the others mentioned, good value. Won't sound exactly the same as a LP because of the cedar bodies, but are very nice guitars.

I don't care too much about headstock names. The guitar has to suit my needs.
Nobody thought (usa) Reverends would have any resale value but it did. I got back what I paid for it.
Who knows were Heritage will be in 10 years from now. Maybe their name will be right up there with Gibson and PRS.

I kind of like to say that if it feels right you should be happy and not bother with the brandname.
Some say Gibson rules, some say Gibson sucks... let your hand decide if you like the Heritage or the Gibson.
There's also always Tokai, ESP and others to consider.
Ever heard of Nik Huber? http://www.nikhuber-guitars.de/2006_home.htm
