From the icy North...
It's been a while since I've posted on the BK forum-
been bizzy grinding axes /repairing full time
Here's my latest export...
Customer wanted a custom axe with roots in the Jackson KellyStar...
FloydRose Original, Beveled body, single BK bridge 'Pig...
Body/neck in mahogany, 9 piece neckthrough, bloodwood stringers, Quilted Maple body caps...
Turned out really nice, & I've had the usual psychological detachment conflicts letting it go...
can't keep 'em all, dammit...
I'm working on several Warmoth buildUps, featuring BK's, and forging a quiver of axes for my band Downlord's US tour next July/August-
We have just released a full length disk featuring BKPUps on all guitars-
woohoo!-
Stay tuned for more pix as stories unfold-
cheers from old Drac in Copenhagen

Hey Drac hows it going-great to see you back. What a beats of a machine.
-
Looks bloody fantastic, i love it!
-
Nice work again, are those Steinberger gearless machine heads?
-
Cheers for the feedback, mates...
Yeah, those are Steinie gearless tuners...
Second guitar I've used 'em on...highly recommended, too...
theyhave a smooth quality feel, look tech, and are great for unconventional headstock shapes...Ned is one of my heroes.
I met this customer by email-he saw something else I had built, and sent me some computer drawings of the rough idea for this axe...
I drew up some variations, he liked certain things about different sketches that were brought together in a composite, then drawn to scale with the neck ( 25" scale on this one )-
He approved it, we drew up a contract, and laid 50% of the agreed price down...
My price for a ground up custom build is approximately $3000/£1500/€2250 , 50% down to launch the project, balance+ case & shipping upon completion.
I have no standard models, & have no plans to make any in the near future. My customers are going to have to work with me to design their own guitars- the farther out, the better. This means except for guitars that are commisioned as pairs & built simultaneously, all LibriumGuitars are one-off customs, and will not be copied/cloned for other customers.
I do build ups of conventional shapes , but why? I am working full time repairing/restoring guitars, which means my building work is all in my "free time" ( HEHEHE!!!! ) , so buildtimes are stretched to 4-6 months...
thanks again for the kind words, me bruthers...

I love your style sooo much Drac.
Never seen pointys that look so perfect and well built.
If I had £1500 right now, I would prolly place an order just to see what you could come up with.
