Errrr,
I wouldn't normally do such a public thing but I will make an exception.
I'd like to say thanks to the folks here who sent PMs and EMails during my recent absence, asking if everything was OK and if anybody had annoyed me.
The absence was actually due to my Mother dying on the 11th Feb.
Although according to the medical people being infected with MRSA (in hospital last year) had no bearing on the matter. I personally disagree with them (as does the family doctor), but it's an arguement that will not benefit my family and cause more stress & upset :(
Anyway with all the immediate tasks that had to be carried out, supporting my own wife & kids and the guilt of not being around enough for my mother (the London / Belfast commute is a killer) made such things as music, guitars (and indeed other people) seem a little unimportant.
So to those who I havn't replied to individually I will get around to it but it's proving harder than I thought. I will get around to it (honest).
Regards,
Rob...

Hi Rob,
I'm very sorry to hear that your mum died. I often wonder about the absent family as both my parents are in their 70's and live in Yorkshire. I am sure that you were there as much as you could be and I am also sure that she knows that.
Phil

May I send my sincere condolences at your considerable loss Rob. I have nothing 'clever' to say at this point, other than that I am sorry to hear your news.
All the best to you and the family, especially at this time.

I'm actually feeling even more humble, and feel the need to say thankyou again (this time to even more people, and hope this dosn't turn into a recursive thing)
I have to say that I'm glad of my family as concentrating on their needs helped me a lot (though it was rather selfish of me to use their needs to feel better).
Anyway hopefully it's onward and upward (otherwise my Mum would be very dissapointed in me)
Once again, thanks and I will try to be a little more tolerant than I have been in recent months.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. I while back my girlfriends little sister died (she was 9 and one of twins) and being there helping out the family really helped me through it. I'm sure your family appreciates it too.
By the way you've been talking it sounds like you were close to your mother (and family) so there are good things to look back on. Now a little time has passed, I've stopped feeling so sad about my girlfriends little sister. Genreally everytime I think of her now, I get a little smile because I remember the good bits.
I know I've not been around here long and don't know you very well, but my thoughts are with you dude.

Really sorry to hear about that man. It's a day that we all dread, but it will always come eventually :(
I'm glad to hear your holding up alright - for gods sake don't feel guilty about it though.
My condolences to you all

So sorry to hear it. My thoughts are with you and your family. For your mother's sake, be strong.

Sorry to hear about this, Rob.
As ToneMonkey says, you just need to think of the good memories. I dont really have anything else meaningful to say, but I felt rude not saying anything..
-
My condolances to you and your family.
My mother passed away a couple of years ago, it was tough but as Tom says its the good memories that keep you going.

Sorry I didn't catch this thread earlier.
Hope you are holding up well. I've no idea how I would deal with this situation myself, but I really do hope you are doing as well as you can be at this tough time.
You have my condolences and best wishes. :)
