Title: New Les Paul day

I got this yesterday, its a LP in trans amber, so far I really like, just got to get used to that heavy body wanting to fall backwards off my lap, i'm used to super strats!

Hopefully i'll be changing the bridge pup out to some form of BK, but for now it can stay, the neck pickup has lovely cleans and is great for smooth leads.

ahhh..the heavy pauls make for wonderful weapons in those "houses of ill repute" we sometimes find ourselves in-I weigh 230, so the weight isnt an issue!you should try out a Custom!!
...amber faded???never seen an amber faded finish-how does the wood feel?I suppose the neck is nice and slick-my next paul is going to be an amberburst all laquered up-beautiful color!
-you must put rebel yells in!!!I suppose there are burstbuckers in there now-always found them to be harsh in the highs....

This is my first gibson, I was always a bit blag with gibson, I don't really know why, maybe because of all the horror stories you hear.
I've gotta say this guitar is bang on, I absolutly love it!

Yeah I bought it brand new.  :D

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I don't like it.  Sorry   :oops:  It's just too plain for me.  I'm really not into flametops either as I think they've been overdone by every man and his dog.  And I'm not trying to start a fight (honestly!) - I'm just passing opinion  :)

How does it play?

IS that a a cat looking at it in the 2nd pic? Lovely finish, but I'll still keep with my Tokai's. Better built & better sounding (outta the box of course!). Definately need to get some BK's in there
