That's a tragedy man. You should get £200-£300 for it, but it's USP is also it's big weakness. You're relying on someone wanting a blueburst V. You might be better off trying to sell it through classifieds at first (although this obviously takes longer).

If it's still in really good condition, you should be able to make back most of what you paid for it.

The case should get you more, but at the end of the day it's a 79V, and 79Vs are available in this country for £300 delivered (the RRP is £449). So OK, the case will add another £50-£80, and the custom colour will probably negate depreciation, but you're still talking £350 tops.

Well don't get upset with everyone, they're just telling it how it is.

Cheap guitars rarely increase in value, especially not over the space of 6 months, no matter what colour they are.

It sucks mate, but the "rare colour" will only be of interest to anyone who NEEDS a blue 79V.  On eBay it'll go for the same price as a UK non-blue one.  Unfortunately.  Sorry to say you won't get your money back unless the perfect buyer appears (pretty slim chance I would think).

If it's any consolation, usually when this happens, you usually end up with something you like even more.

It dosn't stop you from feeling piss*d off though, but you will replace it.

It's not like it will fade out of existence, i'm sure they will come up on ebay once in a while. And yeah it's only a Dean 79V when your older you will probably have a Custom Dean V

Sorry to hear about being forced to sell the guit man.

It always a bitch when your forced to sell something and its not your choice.

I'd like to help but V's arent my thing. I've been on the look out for a Blueburst guitar for a while but.... again V's arent my thing.
