Hunter, is that a Hamer?

Reverse Zebra open.
I am boring when it comes to pickup design ...
The white stuff is a dry fretboard and a bad camera. Need to soak it in my special fretboard oil :o)
It's a Hamer Sunburst US from 1989. Floyd was stock. It came stock with Seymour Duncans which sucked, I had a JB in the Bridge which sucked too, EMG 81/85 => sucked. Currently the stock Axis pickups => boring.
Maybe it's the guitar. This MM is going to be my last attempt, if it doesn't ROCK OUT now, it's gotta go ... despite all the memories ...

Well, came back from work and had to do my running ritual, guys I am training for the first marathon of my life to be done on May 6th, after having done no sports whatsoever for 35 years ...
Not sure if I'll find time to put em in before Saturday ... well, I'll try do a bit here and there anyway, but wanna do it nice - with a push pull split etc.
Will give an update as soon as I got news :orcass:

Hurrrga, first clip.
This pickup has so much of everything - a beast that I need to learn getting controlled. So far I was used to giving much more into the guitar, now I need to learn control a wild beast that's about to jump over the roof!
Allright here is some first wankage through the tonelab, don't judge me on the quality of this clip, as I was not very subtle with it

Dude, ya got some serious growl with that whammy dive! 8)

-
Well really we just wanted to know if you wher happy with it.
From thosw few words I assume it has improved the guitar.
Rob...
PS all the best with your rather strange desire to run a marathon

Haha, yeah well, I AM happy!! It brought the guitar to live. Imagining that there are old strings on it and potis hangin out, only one pickup connected etc, it's already stunningly good!
The marathon is a must, long story, might share at later stage :P
