Ok ok, this is really EMO and so on but I just enjoyed shredding through the Tonelab so much, I had to do another Gary Moore ballad solo shred attack , even if it's not getting me any respect - but hey, at least it's 80s 8)
I reckon it will sound better even through the valve head and with less FX.

Cool man, I'm glad theres someone else who likes Gary Moore as much as me. Good sound!
Hey I have a tonelab too do you find it hard to get a edgey tone, I mean I changed the valve in it and but it still has that round sound too it a bit much. I guess I will play around with it a bit more. Still that tone u got sounds a fair bit like gary moore, can you let me have the settings please?
Cheers

Excellent tone and playing :)
I've been thinking 'bout getting a tonelab, how is it?

Quite amp-like for a modeler, and sits well in the mix when you do recording. It's a lot of fun and very easy to use. Has got some annoying limitations to it, but overall it's a great package and feels really easy to play as well I find.
I was thinking for a long time that it's better than any amp could ever be (recorded) because of the hassle with mic position etc that you face with "the real deal". But I realised that that was a wrong impression, there is something special about tube amps and guitar cabs and the air around them that modelers still cannot get right.

It would be mostly for recording at home.. I'll give it a try..
