Title: Wiring experts - is this right? Can I add a coil tap easily?
Post by: _tom_ on April 15, 2007, 10:46:03 PM
I might be making up a strat soon, and dont really think the standard strat wiring is much cop (never wanted a neck tone control!). Anyway.. heres the normal wiring:

And heres mine, labeled each tone pot with what I want it to control the tone of:

So, will that work?

Thanks!

edit - is it possible to add a coil tap on the bridge pickup, with a push pull pot for the bridge tone control to switch it on and off? It'll be a Sinner most likely.. if so, how do I do that?

Cheers twinfan. This guitars gonna have a Trilogy in the neck, Sinner in the bridge and a prototype BG Pickups p90-voiced strat pickup in the middle, which someone on HC is sending me to try for free
