Title: Ibanez Edge and Edge Pro trems
Post by: maliciousteve on April 15, 2007, 10:48:51 PM
Hey guys would the Edge trem fit into a guitar that has been routed for a guitar with the Edge Pro trem?

How does the Edge trem perform compared to the Edge Pro?

people tend to say that the edge is better than the edge pro because it has locking studs to help keep its tune better. Im sure other people on here could  give more info

there's something about it on jemsite, but it has the worst search function in existence, so I can't find it. maybe you'll have better luck.

The older studs have a screw inside that you can lock down against the body for more stability whereas the modern ones don't so they can wobble a bit, but you should be able to get these replacement studs from an Ibanez dealer. I prefer the original edge as I find the balance more comfortable and there's something about the visual design that I think they really got right.

Oh yes, as above the edge pro rout is too small for an original edge. Original edge and lo-pro edge are interchangeable though.
